Hi Everyone!

I'm a new kj looking for some fun ideas for a halloween scary-oke party! It's right around the corner so I thought start planning ahead. I would love to hear about any halloween themed games, contests, etc that were crowd pleasers. Thanks a bunch!

Have a bucket of apples in water with a note tied to each apple. When the contestant pulls the apple from the bucket, they have to sing the song attached to the note.

You could also hook up an effects unit to your system - so when they sing they sound like a monster.

The key to helloween is fog,fog and more fog. Plus a lexicon to make your voice sound like satan or the " go into the light " lady from the poltergiest flicks. Dress up your speakers with webbing and play all of the favorite songs for that day.And just keep telling yourself, its only for one day only for one day only for one day. Oh I mean night..... dont forget the lazers and pyro and crypts and buckets of blood. And maybe a costume!!!! Damn that sounds like all of my gigs on any given night..yeahhhhh right. peace love karaoke

Last year I rewrote the words to a song to go with my costume for the evening. Ended up in 3rd place in the contest. I probably would have placed higher if I hadn't written the song like 2 hours before leaving and gave myself a chance to memorize the lyrics.

It went over really well with the crowd though. People either thought it was hilarious or were completely horrified by it, so I felt like I had done my job :puke:
