I totally understand why you feel that way, and I can't blame you. However, SC makes some of the best versions, period. Especially when it comes to pop/rock.

Chartbuster is good for country and that's it, although their newer stuff has been much better lately.

Secondly, I won't buy their Gem series. For what they put you through to buy a product (that you don't even own, it's like you're leasing it, with all the BS stipulations) is incredible. If you buy the Gem series, you agree to let them run your life. wow. So I do understand your feelings.

And I also want the best version of a song, and if it's SC, I'll seek out the disk it's on and buy that but not the Gem.

You still own the discs, you just have to reup the license is what it is to play them commercially. They aren't going to make you give back the discs after so much time.

i may be mis-interpreting this whole thing. i will continue to look, but i may be wrong. however you gotta admit, the abraxa tracks look, and sound identical to the SC versions. what that means, i have no idea, but it is rather intriguing.
and i wanted to were something nice on my first day posting, but apparently all i had in the closet was egg
I have some Abraxa stuff as well, their swipes look nothing like SC & sound to my ears sound nothing like SC, they tend to be a bit brighter, still decent. Their swipes are more on par with PHM as they do more line by line swipes as opposed to SC full page swipes.

M y reasoning for not buying SC doesn't have anything to do with the Gem series, though I would never buy it for the same reasons you stated. My reasons for not buying ANY SC have been stated on other threads ad nauseum, so I won't bother to go into it here.
And I'll gladly take what you think is a lesser quality rather than buy SC. To me, if you can find the right manu for a song, the difference is negligible, and often, the quality is BETTER.

I haven't bought a SC disk in 6 months. I like the Karaoke Kurrent disks. Been swooping up out of season PHM discs as well.

I'm not fixing my typos, sorry.

I like them as well. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much, but I definitely got my money's worth!

I can get Spirospent Pharmacim and that one do you prefer. Or if you have only tried one of them, were you satisfied with the result.

Why he must have been concerned with asthma interfering with our singing, right?

Or maybe he wants to help us build up our muscles so we can lug around more equipment and music...
