Not to be overly pedantic, but that would be .0017

I do mine at my local library. If you have your own paper, it's 2 cents a sheet both sides. Most of the time the kids that work there for free, will run them off for me. My tax dollar at work, gives me a warm feeling all over.....

I’m also fortunate to be able to do them at work, a Career Tech (vocational) school, which gives me access to some impressive copy machines as well as a Graphic Arts dept.

Drop a .pdf off at Kinkos and get them printed and bound there. I only print the "By Artist" book; I figure if the people know the song I can search quickly for that. About 250 double sided pages per book, spiral bound for $26/book if I get them 10 at a time. Done in two days time and my only time investment is in making the .pdf to print.
I've done the print or copy the pages and put them in a snap ring binder thing. I'd rather work one extra gig per year to pay for the books then save a few $$ and make books. It's funny because I called a buddy of mine to see if he wanted to go out and sign. He told me he's making new books and it took him about 10 hours to do all the books, 12 I think. If you're gonna work, do a gig and then pay the print shop. At least working a gig is more social and in most cases far more fun
Of course, your mileage may vary

In his original post, he said .17 cents. Since he used the unit "cents" that would mean 17/100 of 1 cent. Had he put a $ sign or the word dollars, it would have needed to be .0017, but since the unit he worded was "cents", the .17 is correct, and .0017 cents would imply 17/10000 of a penny.
It reminds me of that audio file on the internet where the man is fighting with verizon, and they're claiming that .002 cents and .002 dollars are the same thing per kb used.
I'm new here by the way, hi guys!

Actually in the process of printing new books right now. Printing 3 artist, 3 title. Front and back printing. Didn't start the printer yet, so don't know how many sheets yet. Well, I'd better get off this forum and get it done. Actually I don't mind any of the work I do for the karaoke show, in fact, I kinda like doing it. Sure beats the heck out of doing the job I used to do. The joys of retirement.

Well, printed 3 artist, 3 title. Title 214 pages, Artist 209 pages. Front and back printing. Total cost, $21.00. Two packs of paper @ $3.00ea. a brand new black toner cartridge @ $15.00. Total time of printing and stuffing books 4 hrs. Books came out beautiful, watched tv while making them. I don't know about anyone else, but I'll take that ANYTIME, over taking it to Kinko's, and paying $30, or $40 a book. But then again, to each his own.

If you want something 'impressive' check out blurb. They'll do 120 pages in an 8x10 BOUND softcover for $29.95 each. Hard covers are $45 with an image wrap.

I'm guessing that 'high end' karaoke show isn't a 'common' thing people see....

Funny how many of the KJs with over 100,000 songs on their hard drive never seem to have song books to match. One guy around here has a book with a couple of thousand songs from when he used only discs. If it's not on the short list, he'll check the hard drive for the song. If he printed out books with all of the songs on his hard drive, they would be HUGE.

Just to give you an idea of just HOW BIG the book would be, I just printed my books. Book by Title 107 sheets printed front and back, total of 214 pages, and I have 9645 (individual) titles, with no dupes. Ten times that would STILL only be 96450 titles. His book would be OVER 1000 pages, and probably weigh 20lbs. Just thought I'd give some perspective.

I''ve always printed my own and it had gotten to the point where one cartridge for my inkjet printer couldn't finish one printing of all my books.
Still time consuming taking old pages out and stuffing new ones in.

I typed a typo! I paid $100 for the laserjet printer. I've never looked back. I have had to refill my toner once, I take it to cartridge world. About $40 but I get a lot of pages out of that. The darn thing is fast! Way faster than me trying to keep up stuffing!
