Would using Shure SM57's help? There wouldn't be any balls to grab then!

Then they'd just swallow the whole thing !

I hang this below the lyrics monitor and if the singer cups, I get their attention and point to the sign. Fixes it every time.

Tried for half hour to add the "paint" based jpeg but system wont find it.

Anyway, the sign has a pic of a cartoon singer singing and holding the mic properly with the following words below--

Please hold the mic like
this.
If you cover the ball of
the mic,
feedback will occur and
make the
sound of your
performance
less than it could be.

I got an idea.....place a vibrator sleeve that looks like a deeeeeeek over the mic, and most dudes will grab it as far away from the head, I mean ball, as possible.....and probably with only two fingers......probably won't work at a gay bar, though......just my opinion....

we have been joking about just such a thing so when women sing guy songs they get to use the schlong mic. kinda funny to hear i'm not the only one with an imagination that wrong. would be funny though.

It's been my experience that women tend to hold the mic farther away from their face. It's the guys who "swallow the mic" more often. I sometimes joke to the women that "it's not going to spit on you".

How confusing: We are told swallow the mic, don't swallow the mic- cup the balls, don't cup the balls.... it's SO frustrating.
