Any thoughts on the Shure Twinpro microphone? I recently purchased some karaoke equipment for the home and went with this wireless mic set. I wish I had discovered this site prior to making my purchases, so I could have purchased the right equipment the first time. I purchased a VocoPro player and have noticed after sifting through some old posts that this brand appears to be the whipping boy on these forums. Let's hope it's not as terrible as it sounds when I get it all set up. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

The Twinpro "T" series is a VHF system which can allow more interference, but is still a nice sounding mic. You really can't go wrong with Shure.

Hey Lonman...
Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't aware the VHF mics caused so much interference. I guess that's never a good thing. As for the Vocopro...I'll take your response to mean you're one of the many who believes this equipment is junk. I'll post some feedback of my own impressions of the machine after I get it setup sometime next week. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi! I'm actually wonder the same thing as Enigma869, that I dont know if VP products are that BAD. I'm also shopping around for a set of wireless mic., and come across with this VP UHF 3800 (just came out). Is anyone has any review on this yet???? Also, what wireless mic. do you recommand in the range $300 - $400 ? I'm desperately looking for to buy within a week, so your advice is greatly appreciated.

Normally I dont endorse vocopro products. I have had bad luck with a lot of the players. However I have a pair of their vhf wireless mics that are 3 years old, and sound good. in fact I am thinking about going down today and look at that uhf 3800 pair myself they use 3 aa batteries each. and should get better battery life than a shure uhf. I have a shure and it uses a batt every 4-8 hours. the aa batteries usually has a much longer life.
The point I am looking at is the rack mount feature. less stuff to plug in.
for a good uhf mic for yourself the beta 58 uhf is great.

Thanks for your advice, however I still couldnt find anything under UHF 3800 that stated it used 3 aa per transmitter. Also, not shure if the transmitter has the ON/OFF switch (no on discription either). Shure 58beta system is a better option, however I'm looking for a dual set though. Anyone else has other suggestion???

I called a local supplier who sells them and inquired for you. I do know that they have an incredible price for a uhf system.

That Set of Mics are amazing........I sold the old vhf dual set I had an bought them. It comes in an aluminum padded case made for the whole setup. The Mic's have a little rubber duckie Antenna that you can screw into the bottom , and the switches are on the bottom. If they didnt have the Voco pro name on them I would Swear the were an expensive mic like an audio technica. They have great dynamics. and are all metal.
and I bought them where I directed you to go.
By the way, you can switch them to 8 different frequencies if you get interference from a local tv station or such. Rock solid

It claims 300' and I had it to 200' without the little antenna on the bottom of the mic with no drops at all. It is one beautiful system. Not at all your usual vocopro struff.

Thats awesome...that helps me make my decision easier. I will definitely order this set today, considering this is a great price for this nice looking wiress set. How did you like the sound quality if you have already tried it?

It compares to my shure sm58 uhf if not better.

The VHF mics don't cause interference, they are more likely to be interfered with than a UHF mic. In a bar, neon lights and to some extent flourescent lights will cause interference(static) Also radios from a near by airport, taxi cabs, police radios etc. may cause interference(hear the radio transmission)
