I just demo'd one of these today at Guitar Center. It sounded GREAT, and has pretty much all of the features karaoke DJs could ever need, with effects and a sonic maximizer on board.

I normally would steer away from DJ mixers, but this one is more of a hybrid with lots of live sound functionality. If the mic pre's are any good, this is one heck of a good mixer for karaoke!

Anyway, this is starting to sound like an ad, but yall know me, not a spammer here. Just was blown away by the demo of this mixer. Of course, for $1,000.00, it better be good!

I'm not seeing live mixer functions. I see two mic channels with basic eq & a built in effects. No monitor send per channel. I see you can add an external processor to bypass the internal it looks like. This to me is nothing more than a better dj mixer.
If you want a true dj mixer / live mixer hybrid that really gives the best of both worlds, the only one I know of is the Allen & Heath Xone 464. It's pricey, but it sounds KILLER - the live mixer section rivals some old studio boards I used to work on! 4 full (live miver) mic channels with 100mm faders. The eq on the mic channels alone are a 4 band - dual parametric swept eq. 6 Aux sends for effects & monitor routing. Dj section incorporates 6 stereo inputs.

If I was going spend $1000 on something that wouldn't even be adequate (for my needs) - especially in the live sound section, i'd just assume wait and save up enough to get a board that is not going to be surpassed for live and/or dj.
