We had a guy do the original every week for a while and then another guy requested we get the Metallica version and now he does that one every week--so last Sat. would be my answer.

I hear the Metallica version more than the original, but it's not a real regular song either way. Maybe once or twice a month.

I must admit; I don't know this song and have never heard it sang. All this while when it got mention here I just ignore it. just a while ago I google it and i am now listening to it the first time. I prefer the Bob Segar version over Metalica......

heh heh heh heh ..........may want to sing it

I hear it weekly, but I'm not listening  . I have 2 guys at my regular show that sing Turn The Page - Bob Segar. I make them take turns.

I've had Live Bullet since I was a teenager, back when it was actually new. Loved the whole album, still do and still have the vinyl.

Always imagined Turn the Page would be my first song I would sing if I were in a band (back before karaoke and daydreaming). Sang it twice at shows, sang it 5 or 6 times at home. It's a great song and if someone can finish the finish properly, it's awesome. I really don't hear it often at my shows, maybe 3 or 4 times total.

ripman, my brother had the vinyls on Live Bullet and Nine Tonight. I've sung Turn the Page maybe three times. Not sure if anyone liked it or not. I'm still waiting for Get Out of Denver to be available in karaoke.

One of my good friend's girlfriend back then was named Jody.

Me too....

I used to hear this song maybe 1 or 2 times a month. Now, the last time I heard it was about 2 months ago.

Oh, I'm pretty sure somebody will produce a movie that is on the soundtrack, and then we'll be in page hell again.

I just had someone sing it tonight, so I'd say about 2 hours ago is the last time I heard it. :)
It's sung at least once a week out of the four gigs I do weekly.

I just sang it on Saturday :) I still have many people at my gigs do it. Some can hit it others fail miserably. I sing it mostly because I can hit the big ending so it usually surprises people and generates some applause. I think they all dread that final turn around on the chorus because so many people just can't get it, so when someone does lay it out there, it's almost a relief.

I sang it Sunday night at a party I threw for some friends. It actually is one of my best songs. But as far as someone else singing it, it was just Saturday by a guy who has the ability to do a really good job at it, but chooses to get bombed out of his gourde and sing it horribly.

One of the most popular....done twice at the last bar show, once at the wedding the next day~ I do find it very tiresome now, but good song!

Just about every $%#*&#$ night. Metallica and Seger equally. Along with Picture, Love Shack, and Summer Nights.

I do Picture by myself sometimes during set up so I can say it's already been sung!

Why couldn't I have thought of that! :banghead:

Heck there is probably enough time during setup to do a few more of your most hated songs.

Someone sang the Bob Seger version of Turn the Page last night, and I backed him up on slide guitar to make it like a bluesy Metallica version. I didn't have a slide handy, so I used a salt shaker instead. People seemed to like it.
