How come there are so many used units selling on eBay? Are that many folks returning them? Has anyone had any problems with a used unit?

I find that with a lot of equipment,it's usually DJs who struggle to get work that put their gear on ebay......OR dj's upgrading. Bet you have a few getting shut before the new frequency law comes in as well

is250sp,,,, I just barely purchase one of those sets you are asking about. I believe the used ones are store models,,,"open box" if you will,,,The places that sell these types of equipment online also have retail outlets, and I think it is just floor models. Some of them might be returns, or upgrades from certain individuals. The ones I just recently bought are absolutely great!!! Here are the frequencies for both of mine.. One is 660.70 mhz,, and the other one is 662.30 mhz... both of which are well out of the 700 mhz range that has been set aside for other usage. Feel confident on your selection of the AKG mics,, they are a great deal on a very good microphone.
Here is a hint for you tho. I looked for one of the sellers that had a "buy it now" and "make offer" at the same time. I made an offer of $248, and was accepted. I got it with no tax, and free shipping... A bargain if you ask me... The name of the seller was Unique Squared, and they seemed to be very reputable.
Good Luck
Scott

The listing I am watching now is also by Unique Squared at buy it now price of 249. I click on the "ask the seller a question" link and it brings me to a page saying "The form is not available at this time". Do you know if your used item comes with a full 2 years manufacturer's warranty?

Good Luck Scott If I'm not mistaken, the "used" items are actually store open box models, and should carry all the warranty's of a new unit. That doesn't mean that the "used" units actually cannot be returns, and for those I don't know the answer to that. Look a little farther for the "make offer" on a new unite, and go ahead and make an offer for *248 . You most likely will be accepted. That is what I did. I took the suggestion of one of the other peeps on here and did exactly that. Got mine just this Tuesday. Used them twice now and the singers absolutely LOVE them. You won't be disappointed at all.
