Most software does it pretty good. It depends on what you want it for?
To run a karaoke show then you need software that does the following:
1:links the song to the singer who chose the song.
2:a database to choose the songs from
3: external monitor capabilities - to allow the lyrics to be shown on the external monitor while you control the action from the main monitor.
4: the songs themselves, without them the above is meaningless.

Pretty much all of the professional hosting programs do this.
I personally use either CompuHost or JustKaraoke.
There are several differences between the two.
I like JustKaraoke because I can run a kiosk that allows my singers to search through the database and place their own songs into their que.
I prefer CompuHost because it allows me to place new singers where I want them.

What is your primary use for your mp3G's? Home or doing club shows? If for home, there are free programs that will do fine, if for pro use, I like MTU Hoster personally, but there are several others that you can download demos for and decide which one you like.
MTU Hoster
Compuhost
Just Karaoke
Powerkaraoke Player
OTS DJ
just to name a few.

I'm looking for a free software that will play CD/DVD and show the graphics. I plan to use this at home to learn new songs and nothing I have will show the graphics on DVD.
Thanks.

A dvd is just a video, the graphics should be imbedded within the video. Unless it is like a super cdg which has mp3g files in which most of the programs listed above will play. The only one I know of that plays videos is MTU Hoster.

Winamp should be able to play them. Just need the right codecs to do so.

Ahhh I see it's time for the bi-monthly software thread.

A quick forum search will turn up volumes of endless debate on this topic.

If you do not want to answer, then don't  and bypass. Or at the very least have the link to show the other threads.

Sure Lon. After all, why teach a man to fish when you can just give him one.

1) Links are a direct, relevant answer to a question.
2) Links are to pertinent information.

3) A link is not to advertise (or appear to advertise) anything.

The above post by c. staley does, however, appear to fulfill rules one and two.
Also, if you go by rule number three strictly, then there should never be any mention of karaoke.com, Sound Choice, dollar store junkie, ace karaoke, compuhost, Karma, Latshaw, or any number of other links I've seen on here, to which NO ONE has made a complaint of before now.
Now why do you suppose that is?

Winamp takes a little tweaking to work with vob, but here's how you do it.

Install FFDSHow http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

Install winamp

Press ctrl-p to get to your preferences. Go down to the nullsoft direcshow decoder.

Put ;vob in there. I did it lower and upper case because I'm paranoid.

There you go.

If you want to host shows, rotation, all that fun stuff in winamp for free there's autokdj.
