I've had a request and I'm looking for Rubber Biscuit by the Blues Brothers and my choices of available discs appear to be Top Tunes or Legends.
Which is better in your opinion and why?
Just unsure of which discs to purchase. I have had some call for some Blues Brothers tunes, so I figure I might as well bit the bullet and get the disc.

I like some legends, and I've got some top tunes that are good. If I had to bet, I'd go with Legend, but I'd suggest you go to a site that lets you listen to a portion of the track....what legend is it on?

I have a guy that sings that one and prefer the Top Tunes over my Sound Choice version (although it is his so may be just used to it). I haven't heard the Legends, but generally do not like them overall.

I sing that song myself occasionally. I've only heard the Sound Choice version, but I think it's very good. If I had to guess, I'd think the Top Tunes would be better than the Legends.

Sound Choice is not an option.
The discs it is on is
TT-102
and
LEG190
I'm beginning to lean towards Top tunes.
I'm asking here because I can't find a site that let's me preview either one. That, and I really have no clue what the song should sound like anyway.

If it's on youtube, how will I know which version it is? Top Tunes, Legends, Or Sound Choice (Which wouldn't be helpful at all, since SC is not an option here).

Take the TT disc. We use it quite often.

I have both the SC and the Top Tunes versions. Of the two the SC version is more complete. The Top Tunes version is missing words and is shorter. Haven't heard the Legends version so I can't comment on that one.

I've not heard it, so I can't comment of which would be better... But I will advise that Legends stuff tend to be very similar to the quality of the some sunfly tracks, both sounds and lyrics wise.

Thanks, for the link, but I will not be purchasing any Sound Choice discs. That's why I'm deciding between Top Tunes and Legends and didn't include Sound Choice as an option.
As for downloading the track. I generally only buy discs. To date I now have only 4 download tracks, all from Jonathan Coulton and the only reason I have them is because of a special request from a regular singer. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother unless I could get it on disc.
So far it's pretty evenly spread between the two choices.

I currently have both versions, TT is better than Legends in this particular case............... Peace, S.

I have some Legends discs, but I'd choose Top Tunes over Legends.
