You've got a couple gain stages in your signal path to consider as each has an effect on the signal level sent to your Lexi. First of course is the input level on each channel. Second, assuming you're using one of the EFX sends on the CFX12, the Faders on the channels that your sending will affect the output level to the EFX send. Next of course check the actual send level on each channel for the EFX send that you're using. Then you've also got an EFX send master on the right side of the desk that controls the overall output to that send. All of these will impact the level coming out of the mixer on the EFX Send. Remember to maximize your gain earlier in the signal path (without overdoing it and clipping) to avoid the introduction of noise later on down the path.
Obviously the other thing that will impact the level you see on the Lexicon is the input level setitng on the unit itself. Make sure that's adjusted appropriately.
