I think you needed to have the T-Shirt that I saw this weekend. It said "I taught your girlfriend that thing you like".

I'm different than most I will tell someone we have run out of time, and my singers never know when we will call last song.
My objective is to make bar money. Not follow some made up set of rules.
The more money the bar makes the more money I make, end of story.
As far as touching my junk that's not cool, don't know how I'd handle that one.

No offense, I'm sure your an attractive fellow that warrants the attention of a pretty girl, but it sounds like to me that the only reason she was flirting with you so gregariously is because she wants to sing more. It obviously worked once, so she's going to keep you burning so maybe you give her "special" status. Girls try it on me all the time, and I simply find it sad. I don't fault you on your logic. Yes, catering to the pretty girls will bring more people to the bar, but I've had to explain this to one of by bar's owners several times. I run a karaoke show, not a dance club. He complains about my older regulars singing "sleepy" songs, all the time. And I explain that they come back week after week, and drink mightily, 'cause they are older and can hold the liquor.
This was my thought also. This tactic works the opposite on me. Brown nosers irritate me. Do they think I'm stupid. I have the power of when they sing, so of course they're going to try to get on my good side. When it is obvious their intentions aren't pure I usually make a joke about them being brown nosers and never give anyone special treatment.
Sometimes tips get you into trouble also. I've been given large tips before and then they think you're their girlfriend. NOT! I'm always extra careful with the guys who tip and don't sing. Geez It's not a gentlemen's club. I'm just a KJ.
I'd love to tell some of the guys girlfriends what wolves their boyfriends are, but that's asking for trouble. I simply remind them I'm friends with their girlfriends and pretend like I think they are joking. The scare of me possible telling the girlfriend usually works and making it seem like I think their joking lets them off the hook.

I really don't think that those two will be together long. I think I would have discouraged her first and kept it between her and you.

Ok, I've pretended to be a KJ for many years, but I have a few questions before I give my opinion.
1. Where exactly did she pat you?
2. Does thecheese KJ in Paradise or Fantasy Island, or at a club called "I just found out I'm a Lesbian"?.....95% of his regulars are mid to late 20 year old chicks... .......being a Lesbian myself, thank you for leaving that 5% open for guys like me........
3. How many KJs on here, actaully lie about never ever having bumped someone up for one reason or another?........lmao
4. How hot is this chick?
5. Do you think you can kick the bartender's a$$?....and if yes, does he own a knife or a gun?

This is not a gig where good singers come to be heard, it's a dive bar where people get drunk enough to make a fool out of themselves but their friends chant them on so it's all good.
Half of the success is that I play about 2/3 of a 'feel good sing-a-long' song in between every singer. I do 2/3 because it allows a few choruses to pass so the girls can dance and sing, and it allows me enough time to call up the next singer with time to spare because they're always doing shots, or smoking a cigarette.
One thing I HATE is when one filler song ends and the next song starts but the singer is standing in front of the mic and I have to kill a filler song that people are JUST getting into.
Point being, you could be right, she might just want preferential treatment, but she doesn't have a stellar voice, nor does it seem like she thinks she has one.
She's there to party like everyone else.
The guy bartender was working this week during the gig, everything was cool. She wasn't there so we'll see about that. And like someone said, I don't think they'll be together long either.
