I remember that feeling.
It was a long long time ago.

Scott, the time has come. You are going to the local radio stations and advertise your karaoke services on the radio! How cool is that. You'll reach thousands of people in all markets and be able to advertise that you're available for both public (bars, clubs, resturants) and private parties. You go Scott.
Then: Contact the billboard companies, and get your ad up there. Then, if that isn't enough, get your ad on those paper placemats that diners use. Then, get flyers in all public places (diners, laundymats, convienience stores, schools, anyplace that people go.
Then have some vouchers made for a free show and send them out to establishments. Then, advertise in the papers, and get in the phone book.
Then, take a break, cause once you do all of this, you're not going to have any time to rest. Good luck.

Yeah... then file bankruptcy immediately because you'll be hugely in debt from all that as well.

Sounds like a whole lotta not any fun. I complain anout only having 2.3 million in my demographic.
Just got back from a couple of days of hunting new gigs in a town 125 miles away... and had moderate success. We will see what happens out of this one...
But Lyquiddye,, nope not gonna kill myself,, (can't afford to die, haha), and definitely not gonna move,,, and dang,,,i'm striking out here,, ,no jobs around here that don't involve minimum wage.

Don't be so sure.

I thimk Mr. Scott would be happy to pay the fees if his "tent revival karaoke" would be big enough to stream on the internet, and be in competition with some of the churches mentioned in that article.

Personally, I've provided my services for free many times in hopes of showing what karaoke could bring to the table, and getting a weekly gig......sometimes you have to give up a few bucks to gain a few bucks(applies to deer hunting also).....just for the record, this would always be at a place without karaoke on that night, and never have I tried to unseat a KJ already doing a gig.
