Was looking around the net this morning for a contract, and I couldn't find anything that I liked or could even use.
With all that I am dealing with lately, I find that I am going to have to diversify a bit. I have worked towards an idea that has been in my head for quite some time now. Providing sound for car shows. I don't remember who it was who is a member here that does this exact thing, but I would love to lean on your ear a bit.
Anyway, what I am looking for is, a contract that I could use or modify to fit my needs. Does anyone here have a contract they use for private shows that I could get or copy? How about a web site that has some freebie ideas or downloads of contracts? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Scott

MrScott - I PM you a sample contract but I don't think it went through. I click on submit and nothing. If you can PM me your email, I'll be more than glad to send it to you. Thanks.

Got it.. It's pretty basic, but it's a good start. Thank you.

You're welcome. You can modify it to suit your preference. Hope it helps.

Ok, thanks to Tony and Brian for the assistance and the great ideas on the contracts. Both had a good place to start from.. I got mine finished last night, after about 12 hours of brain cramps!!! Now just a question for anyone here, easy one to answer too. Here goes, do you use duplicate/triplicate copies for the forms? if so, where do you suggest having them printed. I found one online that looks promising, not too terribly expensive. (59 bucks for 500 duplicates or 79 for triplicates) but this is black/white only, and I would like multi-color.
I am just asking for opinions and what you normally do for your private customers. Again, my many thanks,
Scott

I usually just print 2 copies, sign them both, mail them both to the client, ask them to sign both and return one with their deposit. Far easier and less expensive than getting duplicate forms made up.

I use contract all the time, from private parties to bar gigs. Wouldn't do a gig without one, ok 99.9999% of the time I wont do a gig without one.
Set you a PM with a link to mine Scott.

Same here. I make two copies of the contract, sign both and mail it to the purchaser with a self-addressed stamp envelope. There's a space for the purchaser to sign also. The last paragraph says "this contract is valid and in effect upon return of the signed copy back to (name of my company)".
I use Microsoft Word and print it to my printer each time/as per occurrence. The letterhead, company logo, address & phone # are multi-colored and the text is black.

Okay, so I'm a nerd and I wrote my own program... prints 2 copies of the client's contract, 2 of an artists contract (if I book someone else) and a "set up sheet" which has ALL the information needed for the "office"....
Bada-boom!
