Gerry Rafferty, the singer of hits such as Stuck in the Middle with You, Baker Street, and Right Down the Line, passed away today.

Stuck in the Middle with You is a karaoke standby, and I've enjoyed singing Right Down the Line, one of my favorites, as well as Baker Street.

Thanks for giving us some great music Gerry.

Wow, sad. I remember distinctly the summer of 1976 - I wore out the cassette tape, driving around in my '70 VW combivan, Gerry Rafferty blaring out the windows.

So sad to hear about Gerry Rafferty. I’m a solid fan.

“Baker Street”, “Right Down The Line”, “Stuck In The Middle Of You”. Great songs & good memories from the 70’s. He will be missed but his tunes will live forever. R.I.P.

Just listened to "Baker Street" and the line "he's gonna give up the booze and the one night stands" just jumped out. RIP Gerry. You left us some great songs.

That Les Paul coming in at the end of Baker Street is by far one of my all-time favorite guitar solos. Sad to see him go.

Baker Street. It was the saxophone hook that truly impressed me most (notwithstanding the vocal rendition of Gerry which to me was awesome).

Rumor has it that the sax part was supposed to be a guitar solo but he didn't show up at the studio. The guy with the great chops was there to record a very brief soprano sax part. He then went to his car and got his alto sax which was substituted for the guitar. And the rest is history........... He will be missed but his tunes will live forever.
