Better than admitting house breaking.

I know some people that do state they are married when they are not to be left alone.

I don't wear a wedding ring, but when a woman chats me up I make sure to mention my wife early on. Not that I am god's gift to women or anything, but I don't think there is any sense in letting her believe anything but the truth. Sometimes that ends up being the end of the conversation.

I do the exact same thing. No wedding ring,, in fact my wife wears my ring on her thumb.. I don't wear jewelry at all, except a watch.. But, like you, I tell any female conversationalists about my wife. I put her in the conversation somewhere early on. That way there is no need to lie to anyone.

I thought that is what I said. I believe it is wrong. But then again, I don't go searching chances to believe someone is doing it. I don't need to, for after all while the mills of the gods grind exceedingly slow, they grind exceedingly fine.

Speaking of the song 'Before he cheats'.. years ago I was living with a crazy stripper chick who forbid me to go to the local watering hole because of all the 'whores' in there.

Now my buddy and I had racked up a few hundred bucks worth of credit at this particular bar after having won 1st and 2nd place in a karaoke competition they had several months prior.. and after band practice was called off on short notice, my buddy and I decided to slip in to said bar and put a dent in that aforementioned credit.

Thinking, of course, that said crazy stripper live-in would not think to look for me there since I was supposed to be at band practice.

Anyway.. about an hour or so of drinking and this guy walks into the bar asking if anybody has a tan Mercury station wagon.. and if so, they should go outside because some crazy (@$%&#!) was busting all the windows out of it.

Not good. But knowing no good would come of me going out there (i'd rather her beat on my car with a hammer than beat on ME with a hammer) my buddy just sat at the bar and continued to drink.. figured with no windows, it was bound to be a cold ride back to his place.

So after a few more hours, and a few more beers.. we finally stagger out into the parkinglot to survey the damage.. and it was extensive.

All the windows were busted out.. all of them.. two tires were flat.. numerous dents all over the body of the car.. and the headlights and tail lights were all busted out.

Oh man.

Imagine my relief when a moment later I realized that it WASN'T MY CAR but some other poor bastard unfortunate enough to drive an identical model and color station wagon.

I always inform people at the end of the song that if your going to vandalize something, don't carve YOUR NAME into ANYTHING.
