I''m thinking go ahead and shoot her. Then, we will post secret ads on Craigslist for you to come do the same for us. Just think, no more moving heavy equipment!

Do I need a disclaimer here?

I love it! Thanks!

Unfortunately Mr. Scott, you are in the U.S. of Aye... so your choices are rather limited...

However, if you were in Canada, you'd be in luck...

Please don't quote me, because at this advanced chronological condition, my memory may be just slightly defective, but it seems to me that the Criminal Code Of Canada specifically provides a remedy in cases similar to yours...

Again, don't quote me, but it seems that under Section 238, Subsection 21B (2), the remedy is as follows:

Every person who willfully, with or without pre-meditation, does material damage to microphones in general, is guilty of an indictable offence, and is subject to a prison term not to exceed fourteen (14) years. And:

Every person who willfully, with or without pre-meditation does material damage to an AKG WM-40 or Shure SM-58 microphone, is guilty of an indictable, capital offence, and is subject to summary execution at the pleasure of the agrieved party...

Again... don't quote me... I may have some of the details confused....

Silly to sue.

Plot comical, practical joke revenge.

Anyone know where I can find and exploding microphone?

"Hi honey, glad you're back. I beefed up that mic so it won't break under your powerful grip again. Yeah, sorry 'bout that. Uh, would you try (song x) for me so I can check the repair job."

Wait for it.... BOOM!!

Can't help you with an exploding mic, but can mod a mic to put 300 volts on the barrel!

Make their performance quite electrifying, it would!

10 years of watching this go on, I grew sort of numb to it. I kind of got to a point where I stopped caring. Someone breaks something, meh.

I got annoyed with wireless mics. Batteries dying, mics getting tossed around the room, or even going missing. Even though we have a set of really nice Shure wireless's, I don't want to risk them anymore. The stage now has a pair of SM58's.

I know the feeling though Scott.

That's unbelievably rude of her. The least she could have said is, "I'm sorry". I'd be livid as well.

It would be different if these people would say something to the effect, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to break it". Just something that would indicate that the (@$%&#!) didn't just think of herself.

Well she fit the profile of a spoiled brat blonde bimbo. She was cute for sure, but that will never, in my book, give someone permission to act like a total beeotch. Under no circumstances will she ever be allowed on my stage again. Her friend that I really adore will make sure of that too. Why is it that some people who think they are God's gift to mankind feel like they have the right to act that way?

Ok, going to buy my bullets for my karaoke gun now,, hahahaha

Seems like your karaoke gun is working fine.

I was showing interest in them myself.
After Mr. Scott's oops Mormon Dawn's experience with them
I am having doubts.
Anyone else have horror stories or is this a one off.

I get the anger, but I'd give her at least one more chance. Sometimes nice people turn into total A-holes when they are drunk and do things that they later regret. From the original post I took it that he normally likes these ladies and they were behaving out of character when they did this stuff. If I make a mistake by letting her sing again, at least she probably won't succeed in destroying such a sturdy microphone. If she does destroy it, then I'd probably go ahead and ban her from singing.

Actually, this particular group of ladies are a mix of regulars and new people. The gal that I adore was not the problem here. In fact she had to get the offender off the stage, and she apologized for her. The one that broke my mic, I had never seen before. And if I ever see her again, she won't be allowed on my stage again. Now the rest of the gals that were there are just fine, just not the beeotch!
