Going to go buy a lot of 152 CDG's tomorrow and was curious to know what I can do if some of the disks are scratched or damaged beyond use. Looking at CB Essentials 1-3 and a few CB 100 song 3 disc sets. There's also some Karaoke Monthly CD's. Can they be returned to the manu for replacement? Would it be unethical to get a mp3/cdg from a fellow KJ for the exact cdg's?

Ethical? That is for you to decide. Are you going to submit them to the manu as if you have been using them or are you going to tell them you just bought them second hand? What does their warranty cover since you are not the original owner?

If you send back the original you bought used, then it is yours IMO. Send it back for a replacement if the manu has a replacement .
However, I just resurface the discs I buy used and 99% of the time they work as new.

As long as the original disc is sent back for replacement (under replacement policy) shouldn't matter where you got it. You are now the new owner of the original disc. If someone else sold it thinking they can put it on their computer and get rid of the original, then that is their bad!

I have used the Skip Doctor to clean disc but I have never seen the JFJ machine you recommend. Does it work good on deep scratches?

As long as the scratches are on the bottom side & not the label side, it works great for deep scratches most of the time. It the same machine most of the Hollywood Video stores used to surface their discs before selling.

The skip Dr. is more of a very light scratch wiper.

Well it looks it won't be an issue with the disks I bought, but thanks for the info. The disks are in great condition and what he told me was Karaoke Monthly (which I'd never heard of) turned out to be Top Hits Monthly! 120 CB's, 32 THM's and a JVC XL MV303 3 disc player for $400!! Don't need the player but should be able to recoup some of my money from it.

I agree with Lonman on the EasyPro. I have the JFJ EasyPro. It has saved disks that I thought were lost. Disks that would load with horible lyrics were run through the EasyPro and were re-loaded with great results.
