Hi all.
I have just been trying Sax n Dottys for my karaoke gigs. It's a nice easy programe to use but I have one question.

I use a laptop and a monitor connected to the laptop. The words display fine on the monitor all in fullscreen, So far so good.

However I cant get the "next singer text" to appear at all. Indeed the audience screen wont display on my monitor at all. It only shows on my laptop.

Any help would be really appericated.

Thanks in advance

plroofing.

The audience screen needs to be dragged across to the other monitor like you did with the CDG screen.

You then need to set the CDG screen to always on top by right clicking on the screen, as the audience screen is always present the CDG screen goes over the top.

When I got the CDG screen on the monitor all I did was double click on it on my laptop and it jumped across to the monitor. I tried that with the audience screen and it didnt work.

Just tried what you what you said and it worked fine.

Thanks very much for your help Gnome Karaoke

Another Sax & Dottys question....

When I have several singers/songs cued up, I notice the next singer scroll displays the singer that's alread up, not the next singer in the cue... for some reason, I have to manually up-date the "next singer" .. Shouldn't it be automatic?

Confusing.

On the audience screen page you have to tick Enable automatic display of next singer and Next performer is taken from the one below being played.

Hope that helps

There are two check-able boxes...

1. "Enable automatic display of next performer"; and,
2. "Next performer is taken from song below the one played"

I've tried every combination of these two lines, always with the same results.... The scrolling singer/song is always the one playing at the time. I have to manually click on "Update next performer scroller" (and sometimes even that doesn't work).

I've tried re-installing the program to no avail... and suspect the fix is probably something right in front of my face that I'm not seeing as is often the case with computer "glitches"..

Still... it's frustrating. The program's operating simplicity and the scrolling feature are the principal reasons I chose to go with Sax and Dottys, rather than some of the more sophisticated programs. But, being almost computer-illiterate, maybe I should stick with Winamp.

Do you put all your songs in and then select the one you want to play at random or do you play the one at the top of the list and then second on the list etc?

It just sounds like it's not set up right as it can't get a reference point to know what to put in the scroll bar.

I have mine set so whatever is at the top of the list is the next singer up and the scroll bar works fine.

I have mine set up the same way... but still, the scroll shows who's already up, not who's next in line...

Frustrating as can be...
