Well I admit I like the cdg because I sing most of the Buffett Songs. I like the 8100 series by sound choice. There are some good cdgs in that first 100 cds. A kj just starting out should also look at the first chartbuster essential. Those 450 songs are sung more often than the songs in any other set I have.

That's good to hear. I just picked up a lot of cdg's that include Essentials 1-3.

Hi tech, Chartbuster makes up the core of my collection. I started with just the essential one set and some picked discs.

I don't think i'd pick CB as my 'core', alot of their earlier stuff - mainly in rock/pop suffered in quality in comparison to SC. Their country has always pretty much been top notch, but then again, that is what they primarily started as, as far as their karaoke went - country only karaoke. When they first began, they actually would GIVE a kj a choice of their selection - ANY disc for free just to get their name out - but again it was country only back then.

Actually I'm in a pretty rural area and we're definitely behind most when it comes to technology, fashion and music. Went to a buddies show near my house last Friday night and with the exception of I Love Rock n Roll, Like a Virgin, and Mustang Sally the rest was country and mostly older country.

The songs in the Sound Choice foundation are top of the line in quality, I have one of the cdg's in my set. Having said this the chartbuster essential sets are good as well. Don't hesitate to use them in your karaoke show.

Rick
