I Own all of the SoundChoice Gem series except for Sapphires 1,4,5,&6
Im looking to spend around $1000,00 on new songs, should I purchase The Four Sapphires and have a complete soundchoice library or should I Buy some E series from Chartbuster?

I would like to hear some suggestions as to what you would do in my position.

if you choose Chartbuster what E series would it be?
Thanks for your help
Michael

Depends if you care whether you have country or not. The E-Series pays a lot more attention than the Gem to that.

Personally, I would buy Chartbuster artist disks and custom SC or CB with specific songs.

Saphire 1 is country. I have all the GEM series and am glad I purchased them all (or leased them all if you want to get picky). I don't mind leasing them as I needed a core set to replace the core use to have before my original main collection got stolen.

I would be leaning more to this approach myself. Here's the way I see it. I can spend 1,000's of dollars to put together the largest library possible, but what good is that if only part of my library actually gets used.

What are you customers asking for that you don't currently have? I'd rather spend a little more per song for a custom disc that I know people want and will sing then buying large sets that might get sung.

Just my $.02 may or may not be the best approach for others.

That sounds good and Kind of where Im at right now. I was a click away from getting Chartbusters complete SD catalog but decided $5000,00 would actually be getting me a lot of un sung songs, Im kind of leaning towards getting the E9 and E10 series to fill some holes.
and maybe signing up for the Monthly Disc.

or getting the 100 2010 pop hits.

I dont get asked much for country most of the serious singers bring their own disc's.

any other Ideas?

Thanks for the Input

After alot of research, last November I started purchasing everything that I needed to start my karaoke business, and granted, I have not been in it long, but this is what I did:

I purchased all of the Sound Choice Gems

since Sound Choice is my fave and they haven't produced since 2008,
I bought the Pop Hits Monthly (Pop, Urban, and Country Super CDG) for 2008, 2009, and 2010.
I keep a journal for song requests that I do not have, including the name of the regular that requested it and on the first of every month, I have Chartbuster make me- and I purchase- a Custom SMD card that has those selections on it.

This has worked really well for me!!! :D

I would put the money in an account and buy songs from SBI and karaoke version or the other karaoke download sites as requested. Yeah it kinda stinks that are $3 each but better the song is sang than sits around for 10 years and no one ever sings it.

I think you are on it hiteck. I'm at the point where I either want brand new stuff, or custom stuff so I can stay out of the dupes. For the most part anyway, if I see a good cdg or set at the right price for some new songs that have been out a year or two that I don't have, I will get them. But lately I've just been chasing requests that I don't have. So the custom should be the way.

Looks like possibly he orders custom selections on SD cards directly from Chartbuster? Didn't know they did that though.

Ah, just checked CB site & looks like custom selections can be ordered on SD cards.

Yep you can. I ordered one about 2 months ago. Sorry thought that was common knowledge or I would have shared that info.

I was a little disappointed though as some of the track didn't have the proper tags or naming. Had to load them into the player before I knew which was which.
