So the other night a customer brought in an SBI version of Daft Punks "Technologic"

If you've ever listened to the song, Daft has a chipmunkish voice on it. The effect is REALLY easy to do yourself with reaper. We did a practice run, then one with the effect applied.

Reaper has a jesusonic plugin called superpitch. Simply create a track in reaper, set to live monitoring, and add the plugin. Put the semitones 6 steps up and you have instant daft.

Excellent.
When that customer brought in that song, was it on a USB thumb drive? If I brought in a song that you didn't have, would you copy it to your system and play it, or play it directly from the thumb drive?

I see. I didn't know you still had a disc player at your show.

Yup, got a Pioneer laserdisc/CDG combo drive, a Pioneer DVD/CDG combo drive, and some korean thing that plays CDG/DVD/VCD. Used to have a Numark KMX02, but it broke for some reason.

Lonman, is yours a permanent set up like toqer's or you travel with your drives? BTW, I also have CDG and a DVD drive with my traveling set up.
