Anyone want to share St. Patty's promotion ideas?

For mine, I was thinking about doing a series of contests. One contest idea is a texting contest. "First person to text me the lyrics to this song correctly wins" (freeze the karaoke screen)

My favorite is the karaoke contest where the singer is judged based solely on entertainment value instead of vocal ability. (I hate telling singers that they aren't good enough to win)

Any other ideas?

How about the first three people to sing an Irish song get a free beer, or maybe a free Guinness, or maybe schooner of beer? Or maybe you could buy a few trinkets, like a shamrock pins or leprechaun hats to give out. Give a free shot to the first person who guesses which centuries the St. Patrick lived in (387 – 17 March, 493).

There once was this young gal from Cork
Who sang karaoke after work
From those nightly recitals
She made American Idol
And won the contest with Bjork

I use TextLive for all events now. I would suggest looking into the software it's so much better that texting to a phone it auto sends text to your bar tv's / screens.

I'm not a big fan of St Patrick's day. But we do all kinds of promos with the bars.

I will be hosting a break the seal party, We have free green beer til someone uses the bathroom. I will be doing promos with local radio station and Coors Light.

We will be giving away a bunch of prizes and having tons of drinking games.

I use it as a qualifier for my annual beer Olympics too.
