Ok I have the right burner for cdg's and the right software but my mass confusion comes when I try to figure out how to convert .midi,.kar, or .cdg files into separate .mp3 and .cdg files to use mp3+g toolz to create bin files. I hope you understand my confusion and my explanation of my major malfunction. Any help would be great my computer would g reatly appreciate it before it gets tossed across the room. Im wanting to by more songs of the web to make my own disks but at this point Im wondering if Im wasting my time. I hat eto give up now that I have invested in certain software and a plextor drive.

Making CDG's from midi (.mid) and .kar files are usually a waste of time because they're just lousy quality compared to other formats. That aside, you can make mp3+cdg from those files by using the steps posted:
http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk/help ... to-cdg.htm

In regards to the burning of mp3+cdg's though, I'm assuming you get the bin files created at which point you're having a problem. Remember before you burn you also need to create a cue sheet. MP3+G Toolz will handle the creation of the cue sheet for you one you put the bin files you want to burn into a folder.

Read up on karaoke playground for instructions on using MP3+g Toolz. They're pretty straightforward for most things.

I wish you luck and us know if you need more help!

I think I may see your problem.

Remember in my last post how I said things have to be named the same and such, well, this only works for CDG and MP3 files.

Like said above, there may be other ways to convert other file types, but the instructions I gave you are only for CDG and MP3 to combine them into .bin files.

You can not combine a .midi with a .cdg, or a .kar with a .midi, or a .kar with a .cdg, or whatever combination.

MP3+G Toolz ONLY will combine .mp3 and .cdg. (Sorry, know I am repeatin myself). :)

Now, remember, the .bin files that are created with MP3+G Toolz are the only ones that you can use to create a CDG to play on your karaoke machine.

When you open up CDRwin, click on LOAD TRACKS. That will take you to the load tracks window. BE SURE THAT THE CDG OPTION AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN IS CLICKED!!!! Please see the picture that I have attached. That should help. This is a very important step.

Also, be sure that the .bin files that you are loading here are the ones you are using. If you don't use the .bin, they won't work.

Once that is done, press okay. Then, it should compile a cuesheet automatically for you. Then, all you have to do is record, and you are good to go.

Hope that clears some stuff up :)

Well, I don't use a cue sheet...

Use mp3gtoolz to convert the mp3+G files to a .bin file.

From that, you record.

Whoops... forgot... I don't always use cdrwin, and my recording software needs the .cue file.

Sorry about that...
