Sooo, ripping my CDG's and installing them into my hard drive....takes too long . So Many more to go!
Just posting out of boredom

Yes it is a slow and painful process it took me almost two years to rip everything to a hard drive when I first started.

Wow 2 years I will never complain about ripping sets of disks again!!

I know that the ripping programs have improved in the last 5 years and also the quality of help via these forums have also helped a lot. When I started it was by trial and error and if I had a problem I pretty much had to figure it out on my own since I really didn't ride the forums where an answer to a problem could be had in a matter of minutes, so I spent a lot of time figuring it out on my own!

The data bases also help a lot when I did mine I was naming all the files as well as ripping them, I made a lot of mistakes that I had to go back and correct. Also I had over 10,000 songs to rip from CDG to Hard drive when I firt started my computer system, to do it over again I would have over 15,000 to rip.

WoW, ok, I am not going to complain now . It's taking on average 1 min to 1 min 30 sec per song to rip and insert into folder. I wish I had 15,000 songs to load
But as I am just starting out I only have a few thousand. Going to take a few gigs to pay for those new CDG's

I had around 960 discs at the time and that took me about 3 months at 4x speed.

Yeah without this forum I would be so lost and probably given up by now!! Thanks everyone for making this a great place to learn more about karaoke related topics.
