Actually the tempo changers on the newer karaoke software - at least Compuhost & soon Hoster doesn't affect the pitch at all, it's sped up/slowed down in the same key. Not sure how the other software tempo changers work in that regard.

Oh there are several songs i've noticed over the years that don't 'turn the page' fast enough.. from a variety of manus.. mostly because there are a bunch of lyrics and not enough of a pause in the song to make it happen.

In 99.975% of those cases, though.. the singer is familiar enough with the song to handle it. If not, then they miss the first word of the next page of lyrics.

I don't tell people they 'cant come to my show' because of it.. I dunno where you get that or why you keep saying that. Hey, lots of bars I play don't serve Becks Dark or Fat Tire.. I don't tell myself I can't come to my own show because they don't pour the beer I like.

I just deal with it.

In cases where the next page of lyrics don't come up fast enough.. I fail to see how speeding up or slowing down the track is going to help.
