I just ran my my show last night with CB Media Pro HD along side last night and was able to unlock several songs that had been previously resquested by regulars. I ordered it on line and then picked it up directly at CB (since I live close and drove straight to my show) I think I am going to like it. Got a show tonight so I can push it again tonight. I am looking for feed back from users only! Let me know of your experiences and any issues you encounter. I did encounter 1 issue that I am sure will be resolved on Monday when I have a personl discussion with CB. After I downloaded several credit from "the bank" to my computer everything was fine but then I refreshed my songlist the credits dissappeared "oh no" and were no longer in "the bank" either. I checked my history and it didn't show a purchase with the "missing credits" so I am scratching my head. I got home after the show and added 1 credit to the computer just to see what was going on and found that if I closed CH and then reopened it the credit again dissapeared (wasnt back in the bank either), strange. Soon as I know what happened I will let everyone know. No more custom discs or monthly discs for me. My experience was simple and seamless (othere than what I described). With a couple of clicks I was able to add a song right into the que.

Good News! After a couple of minutes spent with Glen @ Invision over the phone the issues I was having have been corrected and there is a new update version you can download and run. Ran the Media HD at my show Saturday night and it worked great! Thanks Glen. If you are planning on running the KJ Media HD make sure you run the latest version of CH.

I guess from the lack of response to this thread i am the only real user of the HD even though there have been several sold before I purchased mine. I have now run several shows with it and am very pleased with how it operates. With everyone wanting instant access to CB without having to buy discs this is the way to go. I only now have to buy what my singers request or what I feel will compliment my library.

I am not a user yet so I can't give "feedback" but am interested in hearing how everything is going.

has anyone with a hard drive and account tried to unlock a song with the trial/unregistered version of CH?
I'm just curious to see if it would actually work or not..

I'm just curious to see if it would actually work or not.. You cannot unlock it with the trial version of Compuhost. It was designed to run inside of Compuhost. If you are running a karaoke show and not trying to do dj dance sets or videos it is a great program to run. I was a disc based KJ for many years and last winter, I converted to Compuhost and will never look back. If you are running another kj program, once you unlock the song with Compuhost, then you can play the karaoke track in your peferred software after you tell the software where to find the song then load it. For me that is just too much work. If I want to have a dance set or I usually set up a second laptop into my board for that.

Plus when your a cheap bastard like I am, free is kinda hard to beat *i currently use Toqer's program the most*

Perhaps, they will add the feature if there is enough demand for it. I does everything I need for Karaoke. If I am doing a DJ gig I use other programs.

So far it is rockin' and my regular singers are excited since I just add their newest requested songs on the fly. It is saving me gas @3.50 a gallon not running out to CB for discs anymore. Damn, they are going to miss my smiling face! Have 3 more gigs this weekend and I will keep everyoner posted.

Like i said in another forum, it's simply a matter of preference for rotation handling. i don't like the fact that you either have to set CH to auto-rotate the singers *which means if u have to stop the song for any reason it will jump to the next singer* or click on the rotate button urself which took me 5 minutes to figure out why it wasn't working the way it was supposed to.

So one time, it took you a bit to figure out that you have to click on the auto rotate button before you start. Big deal, now you know right? And you other point? Why would you stop the song? To start it over? If so don't hit the stop button (which you now have to double click so you don't accidentally stop a song without meaning to) you click the "Rewind/Restart" button just below the Karaoke Player screen and the song automatically starts over. Now if it is because the song is wrong, or wrong version, or whatever, double click the stop button, and move the person back up to the top. That happens to me about once every 3 shows. Not a deal breaker. And besides, Invicion does take requests for improvement.

CH doesn't play and log videos. I have a good selection of video files, that is one of my main gripes with the program. The other being I can't stand the rotation feature as well, I do my own - if it could be set to be used as a simple playlist with absolutely no automatic features then i'd be more prone to want to use it. The Hard Drive isn't much of a lure for my needs, I have many of the songs already available through other manus and the ones I do not have - have never been requested (I do keep a log that spans back to 96 which mostly includes songs that have never been released for the most part).

No it doesn't play videos since it was desighne for KJing not DJing. I manually set my rotation as I log the singers in the same way I used to when i used a log sheet.

Again one of the main reasons I don't use it. The rotation, I could probably get used to if I had to - I did not like the demo & other hosts I know that brought their laptop with CH to my show (on my request) they showed me a couple different ways that I may not have caught on the demo. I prefer a simple playlist format that I currently use. Plus it plays my videos, logs them in the song search & adds them to the books.

Well sh!t! Got my HD in the mail today, upgraded CH as I was one update behind. Installed the drivers. Can't get into the HD because I don't know my username and password to get into Chartbuster. Try to have them send it to my email address but I keep getting an error message that they don't recognize my email address. Yet clearly, they sent the order confirmation to my email address that they don't recognize. And of course, their business hours are over. Will have to wait until tomorrow to start! Get it together Chartbuster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
