Well, if he's running mp3g's already, chances are he is doing so illegally - he may not even be aware of it. The major manufacturers (Sound Choice, Chartbuster, Pop Hits Monthly) are suing any kj running computer that do not own any of the original discs to back up what is in the computer.
That being said, LEGAL ways to add music are the Sound Choice GEM series. These are 6000 non duplicated songs already in mp3g format.
Pop Hits Monthly sell these new releases in an mp3g bundle each month.
Chartbuster also has started including mp3g on their monthly releases and discs as well.
If your friend runs Compuhost, Chartbuster has a deal that you can purchase their entire library 'LOCKED' on a hard drive for like $199. Then you buy credits as you need them (or surplus them) and you use a credit to unlock the song you want on the spot.

I am with Loman on this. He need to be using music originally purchased on disc. The manus are very active in persuing the people that have stolen their works and are beginning to have mild success revovering som of their loses.

"Your DJ" is he an employee of are you a venue owner using a contract kh?

Tell him to go buy some new karaoke disc. Or maybe you can buy some for him. Then he can rip them to his hard drive in the mp3+g format.

Tricerasoft is good, as well. Any of these sites are good for adding a song or two that someone wants. I find it more cost effective than buying whole discs when some songs probably won't be used. For new stuff, I only buy songs that people actually request.
