Just thought I'd like to share. Friday night I received a surprise visit from none other than the infamous Mr. Johnny Reverb, and his lovely wife. Don't know exactly what it was, but I busted him. Knew that he looked familiar, and when he brought up his second slip, I called him by his alias. Needless to say, it was a pleasure having him and his wife at our show. We really felt honored that someone would travel that far to visit our show. We all had a great time, and will hope to hook up again, possibly at another venue (soon), so I'm not working, and can spend more time visiting with these two great people. Again, just thought I'd share.

Rosario Serenity Now Karaoke I have been a kj for many years and maybe I just plain missed it but I am going to ask anyway. Who the heck is Johnny Reverb?

He's another person on THIS forum. He's been on this forum for years, I'm surprised that there is someone on the forum who HASN'T heard of him. Look up some of his posts, and you'll see what I mean. Rosario Serenity Now Karaoke

How great that you got to have celebrities. I heard it through the grapevine that it was a good show even if one of the hosts seemed a bit tall for some of the guests.
WHO is Johnny Reverb? Dirty jokes to follow......

Didn't think about it at the time, but I should have sung "Short People" by Randy Newman, but then again, my entire venue would think I'm talking about them. Oye Vey, just can't win. It was a great show though. Rosario Serenity Now Karaoke

Johnny also visited my show recently with Karen. They are fantastic!
But you did better than I did. I even *knew* he might be coming some time, and still didn't catch on. It wasn't until I went over to his table between songs to ask about him and his wife that I finally got it.
I am hoping to return the favor soon. We have invited them to a show up in the Chicago area closer to where they live, and hope they will take us up on it. Johnny doesn't run shows much any more, so I am not sure we'll be able to see one of his. But we can certainly all get together!
I love visiting forum members. Johnny is the 15th one I have met in real life now, and the second that came to visit me. Very cool.

Mike and Rosario and their better halfs, were an awesome treat to meet. My wife and I agree, we had a fantastic time(it doesn't get any better) at both venues. No suprise, they both had an A game, when it came to the pipes, but the vast majority of their singers had game too. They, as well as their patrons, made us feel like we'd been comming there for years.......we will definitely party again.......thank you with all my heart, my friends......johnny
