Building a second rig, and I don't want the wishy-washy cymbal sounds that come on Magic tracks, so I decided to bite the bullet and by 80 SGB discs instead. The problem is, I'm hosting 7 nights a week now, with a day job to boot, so the time to rip all these discs is an issue. I'm also not subscribed to CDGrip's database, so all errors from CDDB have to be corrected manually.
I know the general public won't notice the difference, but I just can't bring myself to assault their ears with bad audio, even though I'm not paid enough to care, the audiophile side of me can't do it.
I'm spending so much time and money on upgrading the sound quality, I'm really not making more than I need to feed myself. I think I need an intervention.
And save the "SGB is bad audio regardless of the bit-rate" comment please.

Also, I searched briefly, but was unable to find the CDG equivalent to the NuTech SCDGs.

You host 7 nights a week and work a day job and you claim to not make any money. I find that crazy.

I'm lost on your question. Rip the CD's it's what everyone else does. It sucks but it's part of the job. I just got done re-ripping and naming by hand 300+ Music Video DVD's. It had to be done. Did i complain about it, yes, quite often.

Can we please refrain from the attacks? Even If they're subtle LD? Seriously, it's like a playground in here with all the jabs and pokes. Grow up, it's what everyone else does.

Hey Man, it's tough when everyone is at each other's throats all the time in here. Obviously I made the decision to rip the cds when I pressed the confirm purchase button. It wasn't a question, just posting my thoughts to others in my field to break up the monotony. My bad, wearing a flak jacket in a veritable battlefield.
