Just wondering if anyone took up on the offer from Sound Choice on getting the GEM series for $3k cash that was advertised from a Karaoke Scene email on August 23rd 2011 ~

Gee, for some reason I don't recall any such email... Are you sure it was sent to everyone?

Your best answer would come from SC themselves... why don't you ask them?

Hmmmm...

I don't know if it was sent to everyone.

All I know is that the email came to me from Karaoke Scene, not Sound Choice.

Maybe a mod could answer your question.

Expect further pricing "adjustments."

I got the email from Karaoke Scene addressed to KS members - not from Sound Choice, but don't need the music at this time. No plans on getting a second system running right now. The offer ends on the 16th if I recall.

I got an email from KS about the Gem series.
But I was thinking. Since you have such an "in" with SC, I would have thought you would already know the answer, so why are you asking?

Just another way to "get the word out" to bump it to the top of the forum list and further the free advertising.... (ssssh! we're not supposed to know that!)

If Soundchoice wants to do a $3,000 sale on the GEM series and the GEM series is geared towards Karaoke hosts, why wouldn't they come on here and do a full blown promotion? There aren't many Karaoke oriented forums on the internet and as far as I can tell this place is by far the biggest and busiest on the English speaking internet.

This thread is the first I've heard about this. I never got an email from KS. If I did it went in my spam folder and I never had a chance to see it.

For those that did not receive the ad there could be a couple explanations as to why!

    1) You do not have a valid email address listed in the forums.
    2) You never signed up for the KS Digital Edition
    3) you never signed up for the newsletter!
    4) You were signed up and do have a valid email but you unsubscribed yourself from the email newsletter!

Surely there are "Privacy Policies" between a business & a customer.

If a customer gives permission, no problem, as in this statement on SC's Certified Host's page:

"Below is the list of KJ/Hosts who wanted to be posted as being GEM Series Licensees (in alphabetical order by state, then city) who have purchased the entire Sound Choice GEM Series."

However, for a business to not protect their clients by giving out confidential information, would be unethical. SC isn't going to tell me, or you, who bought the GEM from the coupon code on the advertisement. I was simply asking if anyone had taken advantage of the deal.

OMG a karaoke company has a special offer sale on a karaoke site for those interested. Oh the evil of it. A sale is a definite sign of a company collapsing. Someone should warn Wal-Mart and every other company out there that decides to have special offerings and sales.

Some statements on here are getting more insane by the minute.

i got the email but it was in my spam folder.

I have no intention of buying the GEM series unless I find a gig and manage to keep it for more than a month.

Diafel wasn't suggesting that SC would give you a customer list - a simple "yes or no" would suffice.

I received the email, but did not purchase. Am waiting for SC to offer a KJMP drive. In the mean time for tracks that are "must have, have been purchasing customs from Clark. (current library is mostly CB from KJMP and downloads from Tricerasoft)

Are you saying that you got The Gem Series FREE for being KJ of the year?

Maybe I'm miss reading this but that what it looks like to me.

You know, our music libraries are depreciating in value faster than ever.

I've had one complete foundation on Ebay for 12 days now (Its broken up into the 3 collections). Cheapest available for all 12 days at $300. Mint condition, but not in its original packaging.

Still waiting....

Also, I have 151 disks, 51 of which are SC, 37 CB and the rest etc. Buy It Now for $550. Just added 68 SGB disks to it, still no bites.

About a year ago, anything karaoke music went FAST! I remember bidding on one of my foundation sets and it had like over 20 bids.

Sort of reaffirms what I said a month or two ago when CB introduced their streaming & HD products. Karaoke music collections aren't (going to be) worth what they used to.

Yes. Price has been adjusted from the $3,000 sale back up to the regular $4,480. That's what it costs currently on their website.
