Any one use these Fasttrax Karaoke cds? Just curious how good they were. Suppose to be the same as Quik Hitz.

They are a good value compared to all of the other recent hits disc out there. They have stuff that is still on the radio for 1/2 the price of everyone else. As far as quality, I'd give them about a 6 or 7 out of 10. Not bad, but nothing special. Still, considering the price, I think they are worth getting.

Ordered a Quik Hitz disk recently and the disc came as FastTrax. After investigating, I found that FastTrax had bought out Quick Hitz. They were sending the discs out under both labels so you're never sure which you'll get. But if you play it, the opening screen says Quik Hitz. Not too bad! Have several of them and usually have songs that others don't have first.

Total C.R.A.P. Somebody made these discs in their Mom's basement.
Substandard sound, cheap graphics, sucky backup vocals and unreliable wiping...plus compatibility problems. AVOID.

They are making a killing though. Sold everywhere and contracted with buykaraokedownloads.com. Probably making about a million a year.

The Music's good, but sometimes the words aren't even close. Try "Bad Romance" it's a bad joke.

The words are off (wrong) sometimes, but the musical part is pretty descent. I like Sunfly, too.

I just purchased 7 FASTTRAX discs. I had difficulties playing them on my JVC machine. Some of them wouldn't read, and I had to keep hitting a track selection until my machine would finally play it. My work-around was to use my Goldenhawk program to select each track individually, and re-burn them at 4X speed onto a blank disc. That fixed the incompatibility issue.
Most of the tracks look like they were home made. The word swipes just move across the screen, sometimes not even in synch with the music. On a few of the tracks that I played, there were one or two very brief skips in the music. Some of the tracks look like they were taken from another brand, and one song definitely was from Quick Hitz (because even the logo was there).
The only reason I decided to try these, was because they had New Country songs on them that are not getting produced by Pop Hits Monthly/Sing-It-Now or Chart Busters. After saying all that, for $10 a disc, most of the songs are (at least) usable. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would rate the quality at about a 5 or 6.

FastTrax = QuickHits, as far as I know.
I agree with the lyrics being out of sync or wrong sometimes. But they're tracks are decent, a little bass heavy, but decent.

tried a few....hit the junk box. My personal opinion was they were not worth a 10th of what I paid...but as the saying goes different strokes

I inducated that I want to return them for a full refund, and I also left a voice mail stating the same. When I get home on Thursday, if I don't see a response back from the Vendor, I am going to contact PayPal and my Credit Card company to file a dispute on the charge.

Several local karaoke hosts have had problems playing these discs on various players, and when they do work, it's still not good quality. Audio is generally fine (though nothing to write home about), but display-wise they are horrible.

The same company also makes Karaoke Kurrents and Kuntry Klassics.

Update to my post from 2/7... I got a full refund for my purchase (except for what it cost me to mail them back to him) from the vendor with no issue.

QuiK Hitz, which became Fastrax, was in business for some time, and SuperCore was still producing under the SuperCore label. However, you may have run into the (counterfeit?) version of Karaoke Kurrents....Currents Karaoke. They even use the same disc numbering system. THESE sound similar to the Fastrax- unfortunately. Karaoke Kurrents makes a better product than Fastrax by quite a leap. Not as good as DK, or SC, or CB ( I mean like CB used to make, disc-wise), or Zoom, but high middle end. Also better than Stellar's generic karaoke. Fastrax, while useable in many cases, is at best low mid-grade, and I have seen identical tracks on Currents Karaoke. Quik Hitz, became- or was bought out by- Fastrax. QuiK Hitz was already in business while SuperCore was still producing under the SuperCore label.
