We are in a neighborhood bar with ages ranging from 21 to 82, all co-exisiting. We have country mixed with metal. The newer songs they pick are usually country and not rock/pop (urban hip/hop extremely rare) but we have had Bruno Mars and Adele done. One 72 year old guy actually requests that "Dynamite" with the autotune be sung. "Love Shack" is a big dance number there.
I'm sure that, much as we joke, we all have the same view as we see businesses closing all around us--I'll take "Picture" being sung a few times a night to being empty.

These songs still get sung regularly? Picture I hear on occasion, but the others are pretty rare anymore. Welcome to Iowa...I'll add Meatloaf's "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" as well. Gee, I don't have that one in my collection. That's strange...

I haven't had the PDTDBL for a few years... however there seems to have been a resurgence of "I would do anything for love".....
I get Love shack about once a month....
Hardly ever get "picture" anymore
I get "don't stop believin' " every week

Was it done on one of the 'talent' shows or Glee? These seem to spark some resurrgence of older or obscure songs.

Well at least no one seems to be requesting "The Rose" anymore at one point in time I thought I would hurl if I had to hear it again. I even took it out of my books for a few years.
