I've just been told the October discs are going to release next Monday. Many apologies for the delay.

It goes back to the "C. Staley Conundrum". Are you buying "Songs", or "Discs". :?:

Exactly Bazza! Thanks.

And it appears that according to the recently published "policy" above, it is "songs" with CB.... Good for them!

(I know, I know.... I just said something good about CB.... don't fall out of your chair.)

Hows this for a deal:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chartbuster-600 ... 4ab076bcb4

The CB HD with what I am guessing all songs unlocked for $1799.99/6000 songs that's 30 cents a song (or am I missing something) or less if he accepts your offer, way less than you can buy it for and unlock the songs even if you already owned CH.

The seller is in Seymour TN. That's where CB is, could THEY be selling the HD with all songs ready for use? Did buyers of the drive that need CH to unlock the songs just get screwed?

The KJ Media Pro has over 11,000 tracks on it and is continually updated.

This collection is about half of that. It is also 10 times the initial outlay of cash.

No one has been taken advantage of.

These are two different products.

I would guess it to be the equivilent of the Soundchoice Gem series and the first step toward a pirate settlement package with upcoming lawsuits from Chartbuster.

I wonder if the songs are serialized?

This is not new. The Chartbuster 6000 has been for sale on their website for some time and pre-dates the KJ-Pro drive.

http://www.chartbusterkaraoke.com/chart ... a-pro.html

Seems you save 10% by purchasing via ebay.

The Digital 6000 is basically Essential 450 Vol.1 - 10, with an additional 1,500 tracks (non-duplicated). They are not locked, and are not meant to compete with the KJMP product. This product has been around a while, but the price dropped dramatically last week so I got on the bandwagon.

Since the topic is just Chartbuster....

I am very, very unhappy with their web site. It wouldn't matter much except that when you have the KJ Media Pro HD, it is essential to purchasing new credits.

I hope they have at least given thought to firing their webmaster and all their e-commerce developers. I am in that business, and I can tell you that from external appearances they deserve firing.

Any word on the release? Two Mondays have past (and now coming up on a third) and nothing in my mailbox???

I love Chartbuster product, but I have to agree that their website is extremely difficult to navigate. Even the search engine is awful.

I work in the software industry and have problems finding things on their site. Imagine your Grandma or Aunt trying to find a song....

And it is down *all* the time. Today, for three hours at least, it has displayed a default Magento installation prompt. At one point, it displayed an admin message it certainly should not have.

Magento is a feature-rich package, but it is notoriously slow and complex and if the user doesn't know how to do this stuff it can be a nightmare.

Country discs have been out a couple of weeks, and the Pop ones arrived early last week. Might want to call and ring some necks man.

Roger that on Magento, and our web team has been working all day on a set of upgrades to the website - hence the downtime. I just spoke with our IT department and I'm told it should be back up and upgraded within two hours or so.

Not up six hours after your post, and I first tried to log in to manage credits over 12 hours ago. Why would anyone let someone bring their site down for over an entire day for an upgrade?

I didn't understand why they were trying to do upgrades during the day (normal business hours for most people).

Web site is up today, but not authentication for managing credits for KJ Media Pro HD. I called them, and they said they would call me back when credits are back up.

I have some very loyal clients, but they wouldn't be loyal for long if I provided service like that....they should do some soul searching about their web providers and developers.

I can answer that, they are not, just digital format of the E-1 thru E10 and some misc other songs. The big differance is you will own these tracks without any renewal fee as compared to the Gem Series that you have to pay a renewal fee on a lease agreement.

IT tells me that the upgrade was not supposed to bring the site down, but it did. Many apologies. It was also very late in coming back up. The upgrades were planned - the downtime wasn't.

I'm told the credit management system is still down, and we'll notify you as soon as it's functioning again.

That should NEVER happen. When you do an upgrade, you should plan for what happens if it doesn't work immediately. If you can't revert to the prior in a couple of minutes, you need to get a technical leader who knows what they are doing.
