Please, anyone interested feel free to contact me for further information.

This message has been approved by management. It is offering job opportunities - not selling a product.

I'd be interested in making a few extra dollars. I also sent you a private message, Cecelia.

I'd be willing to do Springsteen songs for half price. ;c)

Hi! Thanks for the replies. A texter is who put and synchronize lyrics in a track for karaoke and the software by which we do it is the one mentioned. Karaoke Builder Studio. I'll reply you private messages and don't hesitate to ask me any doubt.
Thank you

Are you offering to supply the program (karaoke builder studio) or do you expect your "texters" to already have it?

I received a preliminary e-mail from Cecelia informing me that the going rate for texting an entire song was a mere 5 U.S. dollars. I don't know about anyone else, but texting the typical song takes anywhere between 90 minutes and 2 hours; if you really want to do a professional looking job. How do they get people that are willing to work for 2 or 3 dollars per hour?

I know that I'm no longer interested. I thought that there was possibly a ZERO missing and it was meant to be $50 per song. I'm beginning to understand why there are so many spelling mistakes on these tracks.

Still waiting for info here.... if they provide a vocal track to work from it shouldn't take very long.

yeah the $5 a song killed it for me also.....

that's not even minimum wage here where i'm at.... as of january first it's $9.04 hr

so i can't justify working for less than that.

Well, it depends I believe, on how much they are providing with the audio track.

#1. Are they sending the title screen(s) and credit screen(s) bitmaps ready to "drop into place?"

#2. Are they providing a text file of the lyrics they want synched?

#3. Is there a vocal version to match to?

All of these points need to be addressed because they will determine how long it takes to complete a track.

Even with a vocal track to a song that you're familliar with; it takes at least an hour to get a quality track. Now in this scenario, you will being doing songs that you've probably never heard before so you will not be getting the sync right on the first try so you will have to go back and edit every single word of the song for proper synchronization.

Thanks but no thanks. I'll just keep making karaoke tracks for my own pleasure. Thank god that some KJ's still play discs. There is a program that I found that converts a ZIP file of a karaoke cdg into a video file for those KJ's running KJams on a MAC or running a PC with no ability to play a CDG disc. Some of these KJ's have no idea how to import a new song from a flash drive and they have no ability to play a regular karaoke disc but they can play a video file at least.

It doesn't take me an hour unless it's a complicated duet. Otherwise, I can get the sweeps perfect on a 4-minute song in under 18 minutes even if I've never heard it before and I'm using a vocal track to match to.

It's not any particular wizardry, talent or skill that I have, but it's the right set of tools.

What takes the time for me is the opening and closing graphics and retyping all the lyrics. That's useless grunt work.

You're a better man than me, Charlie Brown. If you can bang out 3 songs an hour, you could be earning $15 per hour from Sunfly. From what I understand, they provide all of the Splash Screens and grunt work. I suggest you go for it. Can we see an example of what you produce in 18 minutes? I know that at least the very last word on every line needs to be edited as far as the swipe timing is concerned. Maybe there is a better or faster way to do this but I haven't figured it out yet. It still takes me at least an hour to do a song that I'm familiar with and close to 2 hours to make a song, for someone else, that I've never heard before. I agree that setting up the lyrics can be a big part of that time but I like to capitalize the first letter of each word in the song. I just like the way it looks that way. There are some home made tracks out there that are set up very poorly. They don't break up the verses or the chorus' so that they end at the last line of a screen and the next verse or chorus starts fresh with a new page. Again, it's okay if you're the only person that is going to sing it and you're very familiar with the song; but for someone seeing that karaoke track for the first time, it's next to impossible to even TRY to wing it because of the way the pages are set up.

If you get the gig for Sunfly, let us know which songs you worked on so we could check them out.

I wonder if they pay their studio musicians five dollars per song too? LOL I mean, after all, It only takes the musicians 3 or 4 minutes to play the song.

Why is Sunfly seeking "texters" here in the U.S? Are they looking to have their product labeled as "Made In The U.S.A." to get around exporting or other issues? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm sure that there are plenty of people either out of work or otherwise able to do this same work in the UK.

I don't work for $15 per hour. Not even in the ballpark.

What Music Production Company is Cecelia associated with? I know some people that would be interested in helping out in their spare time.

People from all over the planet have access to this site so I don't think that she was specifically targeting americans to do this work.
