I got the pleasure of meeting my very first person from the forum, and it happened to be Ripman. It was my absolute honor to meet someone from here, and it happened to be him. Bob, I gotta tell ya man, you "ripped" it up on the songs you sang!! We had the chance to go a karaoke spot in Ogden, Utah. I hadn't been there before, so I had no clue what to expect. Ok, I'm gonna dwell on the positives of their show.. Not too bad of sound, and the crowd was fun, full of energy and some really impressive singers. We got their early, so we could get good seating, and the place filled up fast. Got our songs in early, and waited in line with the rest of the early crowd. Good turn-out. Bob sang "All Summer Long" and nailed it!!!! Great job my friend!

Really would have liked to stay and play some more, but the drive for me was long and had to get up early for work. So, here's to wishing Bob a safe and successful trip. If any of you get the chance to meet him,,, he's a gentleman and was great company. It's always fun to finally put a face to the people we have come to know on here. Definitely makes it more "human". Thanks again Ripman!! You da "Man"!!

Chip said "(he can use my bulletproof vest for the evening.... I have a spare)".

Pretty hard to please the listeners in your area Chip. I thought chicken wire was extreme.

That depends on whether you are in or out of "the hood."

And a sentence like; "He is a gentleman of a greater caliber." has whole different meaning here. (.25, .32, .38, .45, 9mm)

lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Scott, you got it all wrong!!!!!! YOU da "Man"!

I had a fantastic time, Scott came to the hotel I was at and picked me up and took me to Brewski's. The bar reminded me of Missippi Brew in my hometown with 3 rooms, all brick. I'll dwell on the positives as well, there were some hotties there, there was some great singers there, lots of applause going on and the Brewskis were cold! I gotta tell ya though, the host reminded me of the SNL skit, Sprockets!

Scott had the place pumped up with the Scorpion's Wind of Change. I've never heard that done in karaoke before (Scorps didn't even sing it when I saw them a couple years ago) but Scott did a great job of that and then romanticized all with some Barry White.

Hope to come back again sometime but I don't foresee it as the trip was a benchmarking trip so most likely won't be there again but hey ya never know!

Thanks for being a great host Scott, it was a hoot for sure and I'd do it again!! Oh and p.s. we got pulled over early this morning just outside the airport but I mentioned your name and he let us off!

I will take you up on that someday Chip! I just booked my next trip to Toronto, I will be driving up on the 13th of March and will be driving back on the 18th (possibly the 19th). So unless you have a Sunday gig, this time doesn't look promising.
