SAD loss of Whitney
She did have a comeback try in 2009 but her voice could only hit 3 of 6 octaves (something like that). Poor thing got booed offstage and people requested their money back.
I have capped my shows performance of "I Will Always Love You" to 3 max per night..it's getting ridiculous.
Little known thing about THAT song:
1. Elvis Presley was going to record it but the Colonel wanted too much money from Dolly's royalties. NO surprise there.
2. Kevin Costner chose that song for The Bodyguard Soundtrack and insisted Whitney sing the first few bars accapella. The original song slated for the bodyguard was "What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted" but was being used in the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" at the time.
3. Dolly Pardon wrote that song for Porter Wagoner as a professional breakup song so she
could go solo. (they did have a short-lived romance though).
4. Saddam Hussein used the song in his re-election campaign in 2002 not knowing it was a break up song. (An Iraqi female sang it).
Anyways...RIP Whitney...enjoyed your music in the 80's and 90's. Crack is Whack and hard to get off of.....as is alcohol, fatty foods, heroin, and many other addictions..but it IS possible.
