OMG! theWraith... listen to SF's version of The B52's Love Shack.
Can you hear the siren? WTF? HORRIBLE!
Every brand has good and bad.
In my opinion Idol Maker is probably the lowest quality overall. It isn't a big deal because it appears that every single song they produced has already been produced by another label.

Can someone give me a heads up on Radio Starz? My "Bad Apple" had some tracks of Pearl Jam that didn't sound all that bad, but I really don't know Pearl Jam's music...

Jon Radio Starz are good for what they are. Equate them to PHM or slightly more or less depending on the track.

Even with the new and improved Sunflys you still get problems. Eg. "Dynamite" starts right in at "I Came To Dance" instead of with the chorus which is how the song starts on the radio. "Just A Kiss" by Lady Antebellum dispensed with the tradition of having the lady's part be pink and the men's blue and used pink for the man which keeps messing up the singers even though I warn them. "If I Die Young" starts right off without any music, countdown or "warning note." The music part may have gotten better but I still keep having trouble with other aspects of them.
Not that I nominated them as worst--just commenting on the they got better thing.

Graphics - in the few discs I had - except for a color difference, the graphics between Idol maker & Sweet Georgia Brown are identical as well - so unless the 'horrible' aspect comes from different colors for the words and swipes, I don't see it. Top one is SGB, bottom one is Idol Maker. Sorry, there is no difference in music or graphics (except color)! I stand by my assessment, if you don't see/hear they are the same (with no degradation) then it's because you do not want to (possibly because those that stood by SGB for so long don't want to admit they finally hear the terribleness in them when they hear them under another label). I guess we could put the comparison of the two brands on a 'scope' to determine the exact wave patterns & thus proving they are in fact the same tracks in every way. As a matter of fact, I have some of those songs on All Hits as well (the 2003 set) and they are also identical.

As a matter of fact, I have some of those songs on All Hits as well (the 2003 set) and they are also identical. Perhaps my copies of the IMK discs are "newer", knock off versions, because I noticed right away that they were absolutely terrible for sound quality and scrapped them immediately. Little to no bass and way to much high mids and highs, making it literally painful to listen to, so much so that no amount of EQ'ing will help. It wasn't until someone here mentioned that they were just redone SGB tracks that I compared them side by side, and yes, they are indeed the same tracks. However, the IMK tracks are completely un-listenable. The SGB discs are at least passable if you're desperate, barring their few gems. I would NEVER play the IMK tracks, even if I was truly desperate. They are simply that bad.

Yeah they must've been newer knockoffs making them sound like that. Guess I have the originals. I do agree about the lack of eq'ing (no bass, too much mids/highs), however I heard that same exact eq pattern in the same exact SGB tracks so I don't know what to think anymore.

SF did a horrible job on The Barenaked Ladies' "Big Bang Theory", yes that sit-com theme song. The music is horrendous and the swipes were off.

But being it's the only version available, it's the best ! I don't like the actual recording of it, sounds like it's low bitrate mp3 compressed to begin with!

Jon Radio Starz are good for what they are. Equate them to PHM or slightly more or less depending on the track. Completely agree, though they did better than their average job on the Cher disc ( RSZ-606 ).

But see I don't hear the degradation between the SGB and IMK you and a couple others are claiming, I even put on an oscilliscope for scientific comparison - - however I do trust my ears and know what I hear. They are musically/sonically identical and sorry I don't buy that they have different sets - an 'original' identical set to SGB and a remade inferior set with heavily compressed music. I don't know when I got the IMK discs I have, they were given to me as was a bunch of SGB discs a while back - but I can assure you, there is absolutely no difference in the music quality (compressed or otherwise) of these two brands. Only difference I can see is that it has different opening logos & the colors are different, graphics are identical in every other respect.
