I noticed some interesting information over in the Your Opinions: WORST manufacturer- Choose ONE thread like
Idol Makers is just relabeled SGB.

I bought a set of SGB's when I was first building my library and would rather not make that kind of mistake again. $30 learning experience.

So I was curious what other manus do you know of that are relabeled?

Most of the original All Hits line are related to SGB/Idol Maker?MegaHits/some Dangerous/UKKaraoke/Standing Ovation/Helluvadisc/and a couple others - MANY of these tracks are repackaged to the next set.
I've heard at least one Chartbuster song that was the same as SGB. But do not think this is the norm in most cases.
SBI tracks can also be heard on many of the UK manus including Mr. Entertainer, Abraxa & Sunfly the last couple years.
Many Pioneer tracks were copped by a brand a while back - cannot remember which right now. I'm betting these have been relabled again somewhere.
Supercore has many SGB/AmeriSing/Music Maestro tracks - some of the original sets didn't even bother to change the opening graphics. I understand that Supercore is now relabled as something else as well - Karaoke Kurrents?

That was Supercore.

Yes. Never saw Music Maestro on Supercores that I had. Nor SGB. Saw lots of Panarama, Radio Starz, a few Pop Hits and Memorex, and the aforementioned Amerising and Pioneer.

Amerising is sometimes relabeled Sound Choice, the same tree that produced American Idol.

Although many mfrs. used other mfrs.' tracks, I'm thinking about actual label changes:

KJ Tools > SuperCore > Karaoke Kurrents/ All Country Hits

DK > Song Factory

Priddis > Lost Classics

Top Tunes > Karaoke Bay

Quik Hitz > Fastrax

Ovation/Standing Ovation > Back Stage

I'm thinking Pocket Songs and Stage Stars may be related too, but not sure.

Have had 6 of the All Star songs I ordered turn out to be Pocket Songs.

Another incarnation of SC is Performer's Choice.

Karaoke Bay went the way of sued out of existance, I believe.

Talking with a buddy, he named a guy that changed label names like I do socks. And copied from everybody..

I'll ask him again for the story..

Some weeks past All Star told me they aquired Backstage, not sure to what extent that ment. I recieved more discs (18) from them today (270 songs). Some of the songs I got were Pocket and a un-named one, they sound all right. Were Pocket and Backstage in bed together?

I talked to All Star today. They have nothing to do with Backstage at all. They do have an agreement with Pocket though. I asked them if they could earmark songs on there menu that were Pocket so we new what we were buying. He said he would put it on their "to do list"...Great guys over there...

Well, next time you talk to him, how about Sunfly? I keep seeing flashes of yellow screen before some songs and I do believe I saw "the orange feet" before "Theme From Shaft." Just curious as to if I am seeing things or not.....
