Here are just some of my favorites:
Uncle Kracker - Drift Away Billy Vera - At This Moment Michael Buble - Crazy Little Thing Called Love / Feeling Good Billy Joel - Only The Good Die Young / The Entertainer / Tell Her About It Elton John - Crocodile Rock / Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me Moody Blues - Nights In White Satin Stray Cats - Rock This Town Alabama - Mountain Music Ronnie Milsap - Lost In The Fifties Robbie Williams - Angels Barenaked Ladies - One Week / Brian Wilson / The Old Apartment Ray Stevens - The Streak (a crowd favorite for sure) R. Kelly - Gotham City (not well-known, but everyone loves it when I sing it) Poison - Every Rose Has Its Thorn
After I've warmed up and I really want to surprise the crowd, I'll occasionally pull these out of my hat.
Phantom Of The Opera - Music Of The Night Il Divo - Notte Di Luce (Nights In White Satin) Living Color - Cult of Personality Metallica - Enter Sandman Bob Seger - Turn The Page The Platters - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
Tunes I want to learn:
Andrea Bocelli - Time To Say Goodbye (tried it once, and messed up the initial parts of the verses) Various - The Prayer (I think Bocelli did a version) Amanda Marshall - Let It Rain (LOVE the song, though I'll probably have to change the key)

LOVE reading posts like this. As a host who sings -- and who will occasionally keep himself in the rotation ONLY if the rotation is small enough for that -- it's a lot of fun to see what other KJs like to trot out. My interests are all over the place, but when I'm working, I prefer to sing stuff that I know I can sing, and try out new stuff at home or when out singing for fun. Warm-ups and safe songs include:
Prince - When Doves Cry Kings of Leon - Use Somebody Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love Ben Harper - Steal My Kisses Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood Dion - Runaround Sue Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road / I'm on Fire / I'm Goin' Down Nick Lowe - Cruel to Be Kind Elvis Costello - Peace, Love, Understanding / Veronica Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man Dean Martin - Ain't That A Kick in the Head Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue / Under the Bridge / Soul to Squeeze Shaggy - Angel
"Clint Eastwood" I find extremely useful as a starting song - I find my regulars like to rap almost as much as they like to sing, and starting off with that song helps me get the vocals mixed to a point that will require minimal tweaking after the fact.
Once the evening is in full swing, however, all bets are off. I pride myself on willfully taking requests or, more often, "dares" -- I readily agree to any duet that anyone proposes and often put on a pretty silly performance in the interest of being a willing participant. I'm not a great singer, but I do admit to having a strong falsetto, and the one song I get asked to sing at every single show is "Kiss" by Prince. It's gotten to a point where I've essentially retired it, only trotting it out when requested.
Other songs that fall into the more rambunctious second half of the night:
Outkast - Roses The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love Kanye West / Twista - Slow Jamz Stevie Wonder - Part-Time Lover Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody Cee-Lo Green - Forget You (or F You, depending on the venue) Jennifer Holliday - And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going Aerosmith - Walk This Way Queen / David Bowie - Under Pressure (only with a Bowie stand-in) Celine Dion / Barbra Streisand - Tell Him (only with a Barbra - it happened as a dare one night, and caught on)
And then, of course, I end up doing a lot of standard karaoke duets: "Leather and Lace", Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now", "Endless Love", and so on.

Am I the only female responding? This is like when you buy a new karaoke disc and most of the songs on it are for males.

Oh mony mony! Haha everytime someone sings that, the crowd adds in the "naughty part". It's hilarious when you see people react because sometimes it's a more upscale karaoke place, and they don't know what's going on. My personal favorite right now is anything by Bruno Mars.
