Very funny, but if they were all in the video it would take hours to watch. A few of the missed ones: Turn up my reverb! I used to be a sound guy, I can adjust that for you (flying bird style). Did you skip me while I was smoking? Does a duet count as a turn? Would you play some dance music? Can you hold this song for me for later so nobody else does it?
I'll stop here so others can add to the list.

Every single one I have either heard or said to a host. Sometimes I do it to hosts when I travel just to keep them on their toes. -Chris

How about... "What am I singing?" usually they only have one song on their list!

"I want this song", pointing at one in the book. "No, I don't want to sing it -- I just want to hear it."

-Chris You can do that with Hoster & 2nd sound card. The 2nd card is set up for preview which you could hook up headphones to while your main song is playing.

@LonMan - Oh, I know it is possible. It's the assumption by the singers that every KJ has the capability that I was going for.

Imagine that scenario with the guy holding a pen in his hand that he is using to point at the CIRCLED IN song in the songbook... Happened to me once, I think I lost it for a second

Yeah... and the guy that comes up with my binder folded back like a paperback novel... pointing to "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and saying...."You have a typo here, this wasn't done by Aerosmith"

Loving the new ones you guys are putting out there. I've heard them all before too, but it's funny to read them all in one place. Can you put a little more me in the monitor and take it down 2 steps? Thanks.

I have one gal that don't want any music at all in the monitor, just her voice. Then one guy that doesn't want any voice, just the music. Key change is listed on slips, soon will have tempo added if they want the song a little slower or faster. Nothing unusual about these requests, as a host, sound engineering is part of the job.

I'll stop here so others can add to the list. Actually I am guilty of this one. I know how I like to sound, and different songs call for different sounds. Sometimes I need more bass. Sometimes the I ask for more volume if I am struggling with my throat. I have wicked allergies, so now and then I need some help when singing.

It would be good to play that video at one's karaoke show every once in awhile. Of course a few of the scenes would be edited out because the people aren't being jerks. Or you could have the clips bookmarked so when someone comes up and says "Can I sing next cuz I have to catch the bus in 4 and a half minutes" then you play the igottacatchthebus file so he can see that his excuse has been used. Then you play the hey-hey-hey-goooodbye song to the sound of canned applause.
