Hi everyone.. I am looking for a file naming utility that will automatically flip the name for me.. I know debs karaoke renamer flips it from Disk - Artist - Song to Disk - Song - Artist and reverse.. but i need something that will reverse the artist names.. for example Sean Kingston to Kingston, Sean... And I do not want to have to do every one manually.. so is there some way of doing this? Thanks!

Pilot Song Book Creator...But it only does one file at a time. If you're good at using software you'll do fine with it. If you're like me, like to do things before reading the manual, you might find yourself doing stupid stuff....CRAP! Anyway, good luck!

will this software change the filename, or simply make me a list of songs? Cause I need something that will flip the name in the filename.. and It will only do one at a time? Why wont it do a batch?

.....It will flip the name: FIRST NAME - LAST NAME to LAST NAME - FIRST NAME or visa-versa but only one name at a time. It has several other options. If you search PILOT KARAOKE, they have the manual and a short video on you tube. As far as a batch? I was never able to find it. However, on my other laptop, I did have a File Renamer that was a free download and it was SAFE. Normally I don't like to download FREE SOFTWARE because of the fear of security issues.

Latshaw's KJ File Manager. Will change disc ID, or Artist or Song name.. it will switch the artist/song or artist/disc ID, or song/disc ID. It will do batches.. if you highlight which songs you want to switch. It will change the artist from 'Toby Keith' to 'Keith, Toby' also and yes, will do whichever ones you have highlighted (a batch). Right click gives you a list of tools...
Close the program and all your changes have been made in the folder on your harddrive for the songs/files you worked on. (Changes both the mp3 and the corresponding cdg file names, even though only one is listed in the program itself)
Latshaw's Song List Generator will use your edited files to make a songbook file that can be printed. (lots of different options in there too :) )

I use "Mp3tag v: 2.45" .. It will batch convert with some limitations. ... I use it in conjunction with "Advanced Renamer 2.7" to accomplish the tasks you describe.

Latshaw File Manager does it very easily and straight foreward. Use the "Comma Flip", and your swap from "first name/last name" to "last name, first name" or visa versa. The three part names can get tricky such as: Murphy, Michael Martin.

That's the one part of 'comma flip' I don't like:
Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes becomes Cocker & Jennifer Warnes, Joe.. I then go back through and correct all those.. a pain. But, gotta give to get! :D
