Well here go's a bonehead idea. After looking into the Chartbusters 12,000 set and their kj hdpro digital set I am still seeking some information as I have not been contacted by them yet to see what a down payment would be on the 12,000 set would be and how much a month and how long they would give me, two phone calls and a email and still nothing. With some of the searching I have done on here and some replies to my last post I know a little and wonder about a lot . There seem to be some that think they might be going out of business or at least that is the vibe I get out of a few post. The newer music coming out is few and far between etc. etc. and it seems they can't get back to me so is anybody home? Another thing that gets me is that one company seems to be better at country and one at another genre etc. and so here comes my bonehead idea.. GO PUBLIC! If it's cash and things are slow then go public and offer stocks and get the company going. Chartbuster seems to have a couple of good options right now and why not get the extra cash this way and build on these options and take this to a whole higher level than anyone else. Everyone (or most people) say's that their country music is the best, well why not make every genre the best? Also do a better job at pop, R&B, hip/hop, Rock etc. and actually be the place where a person does not have to look at several different other places to fill holes. All this would take is a commitment and planning and money, all within reach. Put together the best musicians they can find for each genre and make the tracks great tracks from day one in all genres. Add more music and KEEP UP WITH NEWER STUFF. Keep offering great deals like the 12000 tracks and then have a special deal where you can get the other kj hdpro at a different lower price (because you have already bought the majority with the 12000 purchase) and let the loyal customers use that to download all the new stuff and then buy credits and add to their books as they wish and for going this way they get a better rate the more they buy. I think if someone would have great quality on ALL THEIR TRACK's and have a great way to buy they would corner the market of people who are serious about getting into this and really wanting it to work. SOMEONE PLEASE STEP UP...or at least call or email me back . evilstepdad

Or they would get pirated out of business in three minutes flat.

The CB 12000 is 1500.00 down 200.00 a month, the CB 6000 is 1000.00 down 200.00 a month. Thats Greg's starting point but will work with you. Just out talk the salesman... As far as another good source look into All-Star. There product seems to get better all the time, and they secure contracts before putting their label on CD's. I like that they answer their phone...

Now the CB 12,000 is different than the KJproHD thing?? I would rather buy my songs a bunch at a time rather than 12000 at once, especially since I never seem to have that kind of money laying around.

yes, the 12,000 is all of those tracks at once on SD card. more up front, but less per track.

It is a lot of money up front... but I now own all CB's stuff... it's already on hard drive and I got an extra 100 discs. With the CB I already had and some of the new discs, I have a whole other library for a second show... someday. Or I can sell them and recoup some cash. yes, the new discs were not all different...but make up 'packages' of about 10-15 discs. The money was well-spent for me. Now any gaps I might have had are pretty much filled in. I do get requests for odd songs, even spanish once in awhile. It's the Childrens favs, childrens' fun songs, children's nursery rhymes, and the gospel that never get requests for. BUT, I've got them!!

I will just make sure I have credits, and grab what is requested, and what I like to sing.

If I were just starting out, that's exactly what I would do. That credit or unlock thing is a good idea.

Jon That's the beauty of it, you can wait until they have mic in hand, taking their first singing breath before unlocking the song.

Jon That's the beauty of it, you can wait until they have mic in hand, taking their first singing breath before unlocking the song. Ha! Then they start it and say - oh this isn't the one I was thinking of, can you change it to so & so. This can also double in the choking thread !

Well I got a email returned. Took some advice I got on here and sent a email to Greg and he got back to m the next day with the info I was looking for. Now if I can figure out how to buy the large set if not it's going to be SGB and some misc. Stuff that I have and not a huge list of songs. The kjpro HD sounds good but just something about $1.50 per track as opposed to .28 cents per track. I know, something about getting started for $400 as opposed to thousands . Thanks for everyone's input, Evilstepdad

Jon In my little plan, I would buy $50 to $100 worth of credits a week, so I wouldn't have to worry about people changing their minds.

Thanks for everyone's input, Evilstepdad I am starting off with the SGB 68 set. Got it off Amazon for $67. Less than a dollar per disk, NEW. Gotta love companies that are out of business. Who, if anyone, owns SGB?? How about AH?

Smooth, if you use $50 in credits every week that's $200 a month which would make the payment on the set, it's the down payment that might be a deal breaker for me.
I have SGB and a few misc. Disk but want to move up with more variety and over all better sound in the tracks.
