I just did a search for Tom Jones - I who have nothing and one of the listings that came up was emusic. They have the zoom Karaoke version for $0.49. I didn't notice if it was both the music AND the lyrics, but I did look a bit more at the plans and the cost which surprised me because it seems reasonable. Anyone ever heard of this before? Is it legit? Anyone use them? Here is the link http://www.emusic.com/listen/#/album/-/-/11011650/When I played a sample it came up as Goldsound???

Their karaoke is music only with no graphics and their terms of use say private only. They are also infamous for having alot of "seconds." In other words you buy a classic song and it turns out to be a cover group or a remake or "in concert" version because they couldn't get the rights for the original. Sometimes it's a disapppointment and sometimes not. Just pay close attention to the reviews. They have carved out a niche for Indie music and have some more obscure things that people don't carry. They have upped their prices in an attempt to get some more mainstream artists on there.

I bought a 3 pack of 'greatest hits of the 70's & 80's' from K-mart for a road trip a couple years back and it was ALL either remakes from the original artist (which sounded like crap because most of them couldn't hit the notes and the music was turned more modern which didn't sound right either) or they were cover tunes which just sounded like karaoke ! Lessen learned, pack was thrown away!

Well, the old "if it's too good to be true" strikes again. $0.49 just seemed too low for real, legal, quality Karaoke tracks.

I didn't mean to imply that they weren't legal or even the original karaoke tracks. I subscribe to emusic. Was just warning you to pay attention to the music reviews before you buy the regular type music. Some of the newer stuff will obviously be the original but some of the "classics" are those kinds of albums Lonman is talking about. Or they haven't signed the original artist so it will be a cover group--but it will state it's a cover group so you won't be fooled on that--the ONLY problem is on a few of the original musicians it will be an "out-take" or not exactly the same version of the song and that is mostly on the older groups. And someone will usually have reviewed it and warned you. You can also preview the tracks first.
The karaoke tracks are the same as if you bought them from ITunes--no graphics and private use only.

All Star has three Tom Jones tracks, It's Not Unusual, The Green, Green Grass of Home, and What's New Pussycat. Which ones are you looking for?

Thanks guys. I found "I Who Have Nothing" on buykaraokedownloads.com for $ 0.99. It's Legends not Zoom, but it sounds pretty good. I'd rather pay the $ 0.99 for the Legends than $ 2.99 for the other versions. I never even thought to check buykaraokedownloads.com, but I haven't visited there in a long time and was browsing it this morning. Did a search and was surprised they had it.
