Today was the big day, I had my SC audit. But even bigger, it was an audit in person. And even bigger than that, I had Mr. Kurt Slep coming to my house in person to do the audit! It took about 3 hours (1050 SC disks) but it's done and over with now. Whew!  Here are some pics:

Did you get any insider information on what SC is up to? Yeah, but it's for insiders.  I would definitely have a couple questions. Including -- who was that kick-heiny guitarist on SC8146?

agree or not with the whole thing, Kurt did mine as well and he really is a very nice guy. i really enjoyed talking with him throughout the process.

Great to hear, Congrats!! I have about 850-900 SC discs...
1050 SC discs is even more than me wow. Awesome job! I got a confirmation a few weeks ago that I am on the list, Certification to happen for me soon too.

Thanks guys! I guess that's it for me with certifications. Got the CB and SC certification now. PH is not doing any audits now but I was told by Tony from Stellar Records that as long as I have an original disk for each song I have on my hard drive I have nothing to worry about in regards to media shifting. So I just leave PH like that.

Once again congratulations Sevarin! I remember reading that your equipment was (unfortunately) stolen from you a few years back...? Did you have to re-rip all of your discs? or replace any stolen discs? Did you have insurance that covered your equipment, trailor, and overall losses? Reason i ask is because i know you seem to buy the very best in quality equipment (according to past posts) and tons of discs... and you were up and running your shows having purchased all new $$ equipment. Just wanted to refresh my memory on how you recovered from your loss (theft) so quickly and if any insurance was involved. -john

Hi John,
yes a couple of years back my trailer was stolen with all my equipment. Not my (back in the day) Laptop and songs though, because I always kept my Laptop in the car. I didn't have insurance back then, so it was a total loss. Fortunately one of my regulars gave me an interest free loan of $8,500 so I could re-buy equipment. I paid him back over the time span of 2 years. That was very generous and I am very grateful for that.
I actually started re-ripping all my disks about 1.5 years ago when I decided to go with 320 kbit encoding. My whole library is now in 320 kbit. Took me altogether about 6 months.

Wow! Quite an experience for you i'm sure Kudos! I wish i had a "regular" like that! Some of my singers actually borrow from ME...no-interest too..been repaid by all but one who skipped town. no worries though..it helped him buy a plane ticket back to see his family on the mainland and he was/is 75 years old. Glad to see you post again...seems like it's been awhile. You do look different from your avatar i must admit. I'm just too ugly to put one up  !

Did Kurt audit ALL of your discs or just SC? I see mostly SC and CB.....do you have other manu's? What about proof of ownwership ie: receipts, invoices, etc?
