Love Chartbuster, and have been running compuhost for years, so this just seemed natural. I'll keep you all up to date on how I like it.

Sign up and working with my program was easy! I have my destination file already created. I'm so excited. :)

Did you buy all the songs, or are you going to unlock them as you need them?

Cool. Let us know how that works for you. I am looking to go that route, too.

I just bought mine today as well...

I was shocked on HOW AWESOME GREG at CHartbuster was...

He was willing to work with me...didn't sell me crap I don't need (as I have SC Foundation 1&2, Bricks 1 thru 5 and about 20 Star Series Disks)..and all the NEW stuff I've purchased from (Karaoke Version, Tricera, Selectatrack, etc...) I've chosen to fill the missing songs between the two scenarios with Chartbuster...and based on the Customer Service that I received from CHartbuster...I will remain exclusive to them...

I haven't dealt much with CB. How is the quality? I have one disc from them. I bought the Dave Matthews disc for my own collection, and I wasn't too impressed. That could just be one off disc. Anyway, any feedback y'all have on their music would help. The idea of just buying what I need, when I need it is great. It would be nice if other companies would offer that.

I have the CB Dave Matthews disc and the people that sing from it have never complained or said anything negative.
Now their Goo Goo Dolls disc isn't really anything to write home about. However they have immensley improved in their rock & pop category over the last few years. Have been getting the monthlies auto shipped for nearly 3 years with no major complaints other than their swipes seem to lag a hair, nothing that the sync slider on Hoster can't adjust though.

As a big Dave Matthews fan, I think most of the disc is off. There are a couple of songs that are done pretty good, like Crush, and What Would You Say.

I've been using chartbuster for my disc purchases exclusively for the last few years. This primarily is the compilation series at the end of the year, and their country is really great... and their pop is actually pretty good as well. I'm really looking forward to the flexibility this will give me... Tricerasoft doesn't get in a lot of request I have, or it takes them a while, but I won't buy a disc for one song, so I wait for the compilations to come out.

wish there was a separate piece of software to tackle this problem, without having to buy an entire hosting program to get it.

It's not that hard to do with just Audacity. Rip the track to CDG and MP3, then add or subtract silence. Combine it with a tempo change if necessary....

I think he was talking without actually having to bring each track into an editing program to add some silence then resave. The sync slider does it on the fly.
But no I do not know of any stand alone program that does that.

Karma does this also... though I've never used it. Chartbuster does seem to lag a tiny bit, but it's never been a complaint of anyone's.. .but mine, and I just ignore it :)

Have had the media pro for about 4 months now and have no major complaints to speak of. The only negative is that they don't update new music too often but have been getting a little better as of late:) Agree with others that have said they are getting better with pop and rock songs.
I've had little to no issues running it with compuhost and still have bunches of credits left.

I have had the KJ Media Pro drive for some time now an also think it's great. One of my gigs has a big country following, but I am not a country listener. At least once a week someone will come up and ask for the latest country song. More than once I have said "Hmmm I don't think I have it, but I will check". Then I check and lo & behold there it is on the KJ drive. I unlock it and they are ecstatic.

If you have Compuhost already, its a no-brainer and WELL worth the money.

Well you are wetting my appetite I can tell you, because I have been trying to get the latest country myself. I do alright with Tricerasoft, but it took forever for them to get Dirt Road Anthem in. The ONLY real weakness in my system at this point would be my library. I simply can't compete with the pirates for the 'latest' songs... until now!

The only down side so far is that I ordered it Sunday, and its still not here, and I ordered priority mail. Seems a bit slow.

Buddy of mine ordered the KJMPHD and it took 7 days to get there. He ordered Friday evening and it arrived the following Friday. He was anxious about it until he got home from work he had thought it had gotten lost.
