Not that I have a problem with long songs however I will NOT be acquiring a new release by SBI, Meatloaf - Out Of The Frying Pan (and Into The Fire) (live) - it times out at a whopping 12:15! I don't even think i'd want to do that long of a song even if I was singing it..... ! I believe that could hold the record so far as the longest karaoke song available to date. I believe the longest one I currently have is All Hallows Eve - Type O Negative which is timed at 9:07. Sung once on a Halloween night about 4 years ago.

Songs that long are bound to have data errors on my rather finicky CD ripper....

I do Bat Out of Hell on occasion. That is close to ten minutes. I can't even find a Meat Loaf version of Out of the Frying Pan. How much did they add to the Karaoke version?? I may have to buy it and check it out. I do For Crying Out Loud, too. I wish I could find a full karaoke version of I'd Do Anything For Love, and a full karaoke version of Objects In The Rear View Mirror.

It's not from Karaoke Version, it's SBI that Out Of The Frying Pan is on. Available through SBI direct or via selectatrack.com The longest version of Do Anything For Love is from Sunfly 8:12 and SBI @ 8:14. Most others work at around the 5:30-6:30 minute mark. Until today I would normally say I doubt the full 12 minute version would ever come out, but who knows anymore after a 12 minute+ song was released.

Well, most of the versions of I'd Do Anything For Love are the radio edit versions. But I will check out the Sunfly version. Long songs are great for slow nights.

That song clocks in at just about 9 minutes. "Objects in the Rearview Mirror" is on a Sunfly disc (all Meatloaf); however, it was cut to 5 minutes (I have this disc). I know that "I'd Do Anything For Love" is on Music Maestro 6030, Sound Choice 2274, and Sunfly (Meatloaf disc). I believe it is also out on a DK disc (from the original 1-99 series).

I was singing at a show once and had been singing Elvis songs that were no longer than 2:30 when a group there started singing nothing but six and seven minute songs. I over heard one in the group comment about how they will take up all the stage time with their long songs. On my next turn I changed my song to the Abraxa version of Bob Dylan's "Hurricane" 13:51. They didn't like waiting either. We struck a bargain on song length after that.

That is the route I usually go, always like to have a disc if for anything else, a quick back up if the computer dies which i've needed on couple of occasions.

Isn't Rappers Delight around 14 mins long? Someone requested that this past Saturday and I turned them down. We had a 48 deep rotation with new singers still trying to come up and just over 30 mins left in the show. They didn't mind at all considering the night we had.

-Chris The "album version" is 14 mins. long.... but I don't know if there is one in karaoke that long. All Hits is just over 6-7 mins or so...

The SC version is 7:21, AH is 7:15, but seems like it is missing verses. But if someone that knows how to sing this one can actually do it, it's a great dance song, usually gets the crowd out of their seats most nights.

No problem here... there's a bunch that do it perfectly.... might as well switch off the monitor because they don't need it. I've never had anyone tell me it's missing anything either...

Yeah I just listened to it again. It is complete, it was the spelling and the overall sound - swipes/spelling of words I had complaints about from people that sang it. It's been so long, haven't played that version since like 95.
