I have SGB and a few misc. Disk but want to move up with more variety and over all better sound in the tracks. Yeah, but between foreign songs and kids songs, I don't want to waste a lot of money of stuff I will never use. I would rather have what ever is relevant to my customers, and myself.

Well, not confused anymore . Finallay got ahold of Greg at Chartbuster and after talking to him a couple of times we worked out a deal so I could get the unlocked set of 12,000+ tracks. Greg was very easy to deal with and went out of his way to help me get into this set. He worked with me on the down payment and the monthly payment, very good experience as long as it gets here on time . If you need to work on getting this music Greg is who I would contact, the sell is over end of March. evilstepdad

Unless he bought the 2 6000 pack SD cards. He did say unlocked versions.

I purchased a couple of SD card packs from Greg a week ago. He was very easy to work with. Explained some of the options of the 12000 & 6000 pak hard drives. But I really just needed to fill in some of the more recent stuff. I ended up with all thier stuff from 2009,2010 & 2011. Great service free shipping 30 free CDG'S and I had it in 3 days.

Hey,
Yes, coming on a hard drive. Greg told me it would take 3 days to put the hd together and would have all of their tracks on it through Feb.
Suppose to be here by this Tuesday and I sure hope that it is.

And just to be more specific: It's an external Seagate GoFlex 320gb. The front label: Licensed to: (my full name) with a CB sticker gold foil tag and a long registration number. Another tag in the back that sez "Registered with chartbusterkaraoke.com (and then more assigned numbers 0000***)".

I have a 12000+ on the way! After reading here about the sale I decided to jump in. I sent an e-mail to Greg with some questions which I got a quick response to, and called and got him on the phone with ease!
If anyone wants to get in on the sale but can't swing the $1200 down payment, they will take about 1/2 the down payment and hold your order for you at the sale price.
I also find it nice that Chartbuster will actually SELL you a licensed library as opposed to what Sound Choice is doing...

Sorry, Lon- you keep posting this, and I'll keep disagreeing. IMNSHO, IMs are probably bad reproductions of SGB tracks. Yup, the graphics are the same, and the actual arrangements are similar, IM's are like washed out or copy-from-copy versions of the originals. While of course SGB ain't exactly Zoom, their production values are WAY above IM's. NOT one and the same.... SGB even has some (admittedly few) high end tracks. I have yet to find even one USEABLE Idol Maker track.

Once I bought the 12,000 song hd from CB, I loaded it onto my computer and deleted the previous cb files (yes, I saved them on a backup)... so I ran a show last night using the new HD and there are a lot of tracks that I have on disc from CB but were not on the new hard drive... I thought this HD was suppose to be CB's entire library... which seemed small to me at the time... I guess I was right, it is small.. NOT their entire library.

Lisa, Greg told me that if you have those other songs you can use them, however they had to pull them from their library because contract issues...

A friend of mine brought his set to my house per my request and his discs in comparison to the same tracks I have on SGB over pro studio monitors, neither one of us heard any difference. So again I don't know what you are (or aren't) hearing.

You also might want to check the spelling of the tracks on the CB hard drive. It took me a week and a half to go through all the tracks and correct the spelling where necessary.

Year and a half ago I painstaking went thru all my files correcting and commonizing names. I haven't been checking the songs I unlock to see how they are formatted.

Thank you for the suggestion regarding the spelling... bummer is, I already did that Took me a week to get all done in the format I use... but mostly it was the 'ftg' thing I had to get rid of. Tomorrow I will begin putting back in the files I took out thinking that they were already there. Then I'll use the 'song list generator' again... bummer is, I already printed new books. Sooo.. I will be figuring a way to just print new pages to add to the books. I will not reprint 1,500 pages (front & back).... Oh well, like I said, it never ends!! and I'll live.

I'm way up on you Lisa. I have 257 cd's coming tomorrow. I'm really hoping SC is better at embedding info than CB...

Jon You can hope!! I look at it this way... if I ever have to stop karaoke, I can get a job in data entry!! I type 77 words per minute, with 2-3 mistakes. But then I can hit the back button faster than I do the space bar!!

And don't forget about the different ways a Song Title can be listed in a book that begins with "The, A, or An."
Since I manually typed my books, I have two different formats for song titles beginning with the word, "The." If it is a two-word title, such as "The Rose," I will list it that way, otherwise I will list the title with the word "The" at the end of the title (separated by a comma). I know that that isn't the proper way to alphabetize, but that is how I chose to list my song titles.
