A few of these I bought myself as I thought it was okay being from a major supplier and not just a Craigslist ad.
I don't feel "pure" enought to get rid of all suspects but now that I know more about the issue I am trying to avoid buying any more. And I would love to gradually replace them over time. All of this unlicensed product business may have even caused some artists to not want anything to do with karaoke which hurts us all. And even if it does turn out that the DK SCDGs are unlicensed but DK doesn't care, it still takes from the songwriters/original rights holders. So it is the seeming to not care who gets hurt as long as one doesn't get caught that is riling up people. On the other hand, alot of us will scorn some purchases than be happy to score a Dangerous set on the other. So I don't want to throw the first stone on this one--nor do I want to say, "Who cares, go for it.'
I just wish the whole karaoke business was cleaned up so that we knew what was legit and what wasn't. It seems impossible to get a clear answer so much of the time. My GOSH! I could not agree more, PERIOD!!!...and I am being so very serious! ...For me (my opinion), to just go one LARGE & EXPENSIVE step further, would love to have one organization for U.S. Karaoke. An organization that tracks "EVERYTHING TO DO WITH KARAOKE" From tracking legit sells, to audits, to making sure any and all Karaoke Tracks are licensed for resell, to approved venues, to certification for all (Manufacturers, Venues, KJs, individual purchases, etc.). Even a "Checks & Balance" program (software) to compare a KJ's library, where he/she is playing, the KJ's updates, etc. No bias to one manufacturer or another. ....Thank you for posting what some of us truly want!!!

I hear he is trying to move what appears to be a full DK1-99 Set + Every Sound Choice disc ever made, and the Full Chartbuster Essentials 1-10 for a mere $1000. Great deal btw......every disc "looks" original. -Chris Sorry Chris, I will have to, respectfully, decline. I do not want any more Sound Choice. But thanks for the consideration. Maybe i would reconsider if you Jewish/Italian friend were to add all the Party Tymes, All Star, Pocket Songs, PHM, THM, and every episode of every Star Trek show including all the movies. If he will offer all that for that same $1000 he has a deal!!! Live Long and Prosper \\//_

Here's why I think that the Millennium set, yes the one that's being sold for around $200 is legit. In a word, the quality. Clearly, this ain't no counterfit operation. I've enclosed some photos so you can examine if for yourself. But first lets talk about what you get:
1. A very professionally designed clam shell case with beautiful graphics. 2. You get a very legible and high quality song book listing all the track #'s, songs, and artists on the disc. 3. Look at the Hight Quality silk screening job on the front of the CD. 4. Now look at the back. First the color is silver. Second, notice the watermarks on the outer disk edge. 5. You cant see it but around the inner center is numbers.
Point being, this is a professionally designed and put together product. It's something DK would do and has nothing to indicate that this is a fake or illegal.
Thank You

So again, I believe this to be a high quality 100% legal product. And If I find out otherwise from a source at DK, I will stop using it. I will NOT buy or use pirated, illegal products. But like I said, I need to hear it from the horses mouth, until then, I have what I believe is a 100% legal DK Millennium set.

[Locked because it totally abandoned topic to become yet another iteration of the same old wrangling. Should have been split to the Piracy section, and the initial person who sent it that way should not have posted that in this forum. ]
