I know most of you are KJ's, but for those that also DJ I would like to know what you feel are your "get them out of their seats & dance songs". We all have our "emergency" songs we use to get the dance floor hopping. What are some of yours?

Bust a Move
Gonna Make You Sweat

Groove Is In The Heart
This Is How We Do It
I've Got A Feeling
Pour Some Sugar On Me
Beat It
Yeah
Low
Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy
Hot In Herre

Black & Yellow
Shots
Rock Party Anthem
Low
Ridin' Dirty
And basically whatever is new. Plus I take requests. My fill in show is a mix of DJ/Karaoke. But I also play whatever else is asked for.

Tommy James Mony Mony, karaoke version. If someone does this song well and gets the audience to participate in the "yeah" it will fill the floor every time.

I sing Footloose, old school, even when I'm just dj'ing. Never fails to fill the floor!

Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha Slide, The Wobble, they never fail. Normally I only do 3 dance songs a night (at 11:00). Otherwise it's all karaoke.

Nice! Disappointed I didn't know about this list since I have DJ Intelligence.

I have 193 of these songs currently.

Earthling, are you playing music down at the nursing home again? Be careful...someone might break a hip.

I went into work one day and the lady sitting next to me told me her husband had hurt his hip or knee doing the YMCA at a wedding reception.

My hair turned almost completely gray by the time I turned thirty.
Except for caroling at Christmas time, I try to stay clear of those places for fear they confuse me with someone who's not allowed to leave.

Try a few of these to add some Latin spice. Start with "You Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and lead into some of the following...

Pasame La Botella
Gasolina
Shhh!
Que Calor
Esta Noche
Cumbia Nocturnal
Boom Boom Mami Mami
Madre Soltrea
Rica Y Apretadita

Jon
